BLM, Black Lives Matter, is a political and social movement which exposes and protests any racially motivated violence or prejudice against black people. The ideology behind this is clearly right and needed. However, there is another racist issue that is more insidious – abortion. Yes, you read right: abortion. Why? Let’s make a comparison, shall we?
Racism
Historically, racism was generally based on the following false premises:
- The person subject to racism is not really a person, but a subhuman or even an animal.
- Therefore, a subhuman can be a slave belonging to its owner.
- Since the slave is not really a human and his life is owned by someone else, its elimination is not murder.
- Since there is no other way to run plantations profitably, slave labour is justified.
- Slavery is legal, therefore correct.
Well, the same applies to abortion, as it is:
- If a fetus is thought of as subhuman, it is an incomplete human being.
- Therefore, a woman can say that her unborn baby is simply “my body”, not a real person.
- Because a fetus is not a human and it is actually simply part of “my body”, its elimination is not murder.
- If abortion is not performed, it will represent a major financial problem for the mother.
- It is legal, therefore correct.
BLM: Babies Lives Matter
There is another kind of BLM – “Babies Lives Matter”. While we have seen plenty of people protesting on the street against racism when the issue is abortion, most people opt to remain silent; they fear the wrath of the feminist movement, of many women in general, of being called chauvinist, of being claimed to be inconsiderate with women’s suffering
It is no wonder that, according to WHO, every year in the world there are an estimated 40-50 million abortions. This corresponds to approximately 125,000 abortions per day. Now, compare it with World War II, which killed 75 million people over four years, and we’ll find abortion corresponds to almost 3 WW2 during the same time period.
So, What Do We Do?
Do we go to the street like the proponents of the BLM movement, shouting and confronting the police? No. We use a much powerful tool -Saint Joseph. In fact, we are in the year of Saint Joseph and, in part because of it, we are seeing a revival of his image and importance amongst people; I have a group on Facebook with over 15 thousand people registered.
Saint Joseph
In this, one cannot possibly claim to be a true friend of Saint Joseph if we don’t do something about this issue for he is the epitome of a pro-life attitude.
Saint Joseph was betrothed to Mary and found out she was unexplainably pregnant. In these cases, the law allowed the offended husband to stone the adulteress to death. That takes an even stronger meaning when we consider the circumstances around that wife: being brought in the temple, supposedly holy and pure. No regular man could have stood up such dishonour and disappointment and instead would have called that child cursed, the fruit of infidelity, and thus not worthy of life.
Should he have chosen his legal right, he would have killed the child in the womb of his cheating wife. Still, despite his broken heart, he rebelled against a law he saw as unjust, and not really against her.
When Jesus was invited to stone to death a woman found cheating her husband. Instead, he said “Let him who is without sin cast the first stone”, as he also rebelled against what was just a savage law and just pitied the unfaithful woman. So, Joseph chose just to leave Mary and swallow his broken pride and he was rewarded because that unborn child was the Saviour of the entire human species for all. So, no one is better suited today to stand up against what kills more people than entire world wars.
In this, Ephesians 5:11 says “Have nothing to do with the things of darkness, but rather expose them”. Let us create BLM – Babies Lives Matter and, just like the Black Lives Matter, let’s expose abortion for what it is- an incredibly racist issue. Let’s make clear that, just like Saint Joseph, we expose a law and not some poor woman.

“apply their doctrine to Babies Lives Matter”
If that was the case the article would have suggested to protest. Instead it suggests to use Saint Joseph.
Clearly, the author of this article needs to look at the BLM actions from the perspective of those black residents living in a spiraling murder culture instead of ignoring
what it actually stands for: promoting racism, a political agenda, and the marked increase in crime…in ravaged minority neighborhoods. I live in Chicago. When BLM marched into the crime ridden neighborhood of Englewood to spew their message to those who have endured the highest murder rates…they met with a wall of resistance. The resistance was from the residents themselves. It was a Black Wall of Outrage. These residents were there to offer their support of the police who put their lives on the line every day to protect them. The statistics in Chicago tell the story. The perpetrators of the murders and crimes that have taken so many lives are NOT “white supremacists”, but minorities with guns stolen or illegally purchased…not from out-of state companies…but usually off the dead bodies of their victims. The victims are minorities. As the “defund the police” movement and BLM …Burned, Looted and Murdered during their “peaceful protests” last summer the outcome was clear….there is no honor among thieves. Later, that year a gang member walked into a local restaurant (blocks from my home) one Sunday morning and assassinated a man and injured others because the victim failed to share the loot from the Burn, Loot, and Murder Mobs that assaulted our city. As our Mayor refused to be interviewed by “white” journalists …even though most white citizens voted for her…the crimes spirals as she undermines the police in their attempts to stop the crimes. Our police have double and triple shifts, no days off, no vacations….they are leaving in droves and no recruits are stepping in to fill the void. It is because of those elitists who support these BLM and ANTIFA movements. As those residents of the crime ridden Englewood neighborhood yelled at them…”GO BACK TO YOUR RICH NEIGHBORHOODS and ELITIST UNIVERSITIES….you do not know what life is really like here. You are not interested in us….but are pushing the interest of others at our expense”. GO HOME! I agree. Anyone who really thinks that BLM is really interested in helping crime ridden minority neighborhoods, all they need to do is notice how they are NOT present in those
neighborhoods when the bullets are flying in gang rage and the mothers are on their knees weeping over their dead children. The police can’t get to them in time as there are not enough of them and they are not supported by our leaders, media, and corporations. WHY? Our so progressive leaders, media and corporations are not focused on helping those people in these neighborhoods. Rather intent on messaging, gaining power and the bottom line. To describe BLM as an organization that focused on black lives is like saying Planned Parenthood focuses on preserving the lives of the unborn

The article is not about Black Lives Matter. Thus, all those considerations, as true as they may be, are just out of scope
When an article starts with Black Lives Matter and outlines how their cause is right….and then erroneously apply their doctrine to Babies Lives Matter undermines the point of the article from the very beginning
I dislike it when time and effort is wasted bickering about which evil thing is worse. It ends up hurting the efforts to end either of the targeted evils in my opinion. Racism and abortion are both terrible, but there is not a competition between them. Hijacking one group’s slogan – BLM in this case – doesn’t help either effort. It hurts them both. Those focusing on the scourge of racism see articles like this and end up developing disdain for the pro-life movement. The ideas and sentiments expressed by these types of articles tend to foment more division, and hardening division makes change far less likely.
The same thing happens with the feminist movement. The feminist movement has real concerns, but battle lines end up getting drawn and both sides tend to demonize the other in a negative feedback cycle. If you want to breakdown opposition by feminist organizations, start showing concern for the issues they raise. Support and push policies that make choosing to have a child easier. Until common ground can be found with these organizations, the battle lines will remain and the stalemate will continue. I’ve said it before, but the lack of willingness on the part of the pro-life movement to support actions that would reduce the numbers of abortions now makes me question their motives. And it makes me unwilling to consider myself part of the “pro-life movement” even though I am very much anti-abortion.
The part I find very sad is that in all this bickering, valid concerns abound and we make next to no progress on addressing them.
” the lack of willingness on the part of the pro-life movement to support actions that would reduce the numbers of abortions now makes me question their motives”
One reason is that, whenever it tries to do something, it is accused of “bickering” 🙂
Yes, but the point here is BLM – *Babies* Lives Matters 🙂
Black Lives Matter is a Marxist, terrorist organization!!!!!!!!!
