We Must All Stand Before the Judgment Seat of God

What is going on in America?

I am amazed and disappointed that so many people in America want our government to continue its policy of free abortion on demand. You would think, if Jesus really is God’s own divine Son and was sent to save all of us from destruction by the power of evil, the American people would be interested in Him and His agenda.

America was once grounded in Christianity. Today, however, Americans take to the streets to demonstrate their unbelief in God as is evident from this news report:

Two hundred and fifty-eight thousand people demonstrated throughout the United States during a weekend in October to oppose the new Texas abortion ban. People demonstrated in hundreds of cities and towns. The majority of demonstrators were women, some men and college students and young people. Banners showed signs: “Thou shall not mess with woman’s rights, Fallopian 20:2.”

It breaks my heart to hear of thousands of young women demonstrating against God, calling God a male chauvinist and an oppressor of woman’s rights. Who gave woman the right to defy God like that? Fifty years from now most if not all of them will be dead, with their souls arraigned before the good and upright God who only wanted what was good for them and warned them what would happen if they defied Him.

Curious about life

One would think that Americans, with their profound curiosity in extra-terrestrial life and the enormous amount of money they spend annually searching for even rudimentary life on other planets would lead the world in interest in Jesus Christ. After all, He can be considered “extra-terrestrial” in that He is not of this world. He is from heaven.

Some American scientists argue that there is no evidence for the truth of biblical history anywhere to be found in the world today. They treat God and Jesus Christ as though they were myths.

I think the problem is that most Americans think God is not so severe as to place human beings in the fires of hell to suffer for all eternity as He threatened for defiance of His moral code. One would think that God, being compassionate, would forgive a contrite sinner no matter what sins were committed.

Need for repentance

The answer to this is that those who wind up in hell will never repent of their sin, never feel contrite, never express contrition. God knows their past lives. God, being God, also knows their future lives. God already knows they will never repent of their sins. So what has God to do with them?

God is infinitely different than all other intelligent beings He has created. All others arose out of nothingness when God created them. At one time they did not exist. God always existed; there was never a time He did not exist. God wanted to confer free will and immortality on all angels and all humans, but He placed conditions on them to remind them that they are creatures. They are not as free as God is. God can do anything He wants, and not only is He immortal: He is eternal.

Why there has to be eternal hell

God showed His greatest genius when He gave the Divine Word a human body and soul. That human body and soul has free will but always obeys the Father’s will. The Divine Word, when acting through His divine nature or acting through the human nature of Jesus, only does the Father’s will. The Father expects the same obedience from angels and humans. If all of them only do the Father’s will, they all are Godlike just like the Father is. If any of them disobey, chaos enters into creation.

Jesus Christ never defied the Father’s will because he is literally God in human flesh, which is exactly what the Catholic Church teaches. Sadly one-third of the angels refused obedience and sadder still that a great many human beings are carrying out, as they have done in past ages, the same rebellion.

What is God going to do with those who refuse to obey? He can’t let them run free in heaven; they would destroy the peace and harmony of heaven. He must confine them somewhere and restrict their ability to cause havoc. Hell is His choice of punishment. Actually, it’s better to say that hell is what they choose when they reject Him.

God is free to do anything He wants, but I would not argue against what the Supreme Being has revealed as the fate of the rebellious: eternal hell. It shakes me up to see the severity of God in doing this, but who am I to judge the Supreme Being? What God does is good and perfectly just.

The children at Fatima got a glimpse of hell

The three children at Fatima were shown an apparition of hell on July 13, 1917. The earth appeared to open up and expose a deep chasm of blazing fire billowing over like a pot of water brought to a rolling boil. The children could see the forms of human souls and fallen angels in hell. Both human souls and angels were simply carried along with the flames, tossed here and there without displaying any sense of equilibrium or balance.

All souls were hideous to look at, but the fallen angels were even more horrible looking than the humans. According to the seers, the demons took the form of atrocious beasts, black as coal. The vision was so frightening to the children that God only allowed it to last a very short time

I think the vision of hell shown to the three children is an accurate message from God. Hell is a place of punishment for those who contradict the whole reason God created them. They should have been willing to live fully obedient to God. Because they have free will and refused to comply with it, their refusal would destroy everything God has provided for in His heavenly kingdom. So the disobedient are confined to the flames of hell, by their own desire.

The Great White Throne

Protestant preachers used to caution sinners about judgement before the Great White Throne. After all, it was the Father who issued the Ten Commandments including the Fifth Commandment, “Thou Shall not Kill”. The Father not only issued the commandments, He Himself carved them onto stone tablets, And He did it twice because Moses broke the first set (Exodus 32: 19). Protestant preachers warned us that when we die we will have to stand before the Great White Throne and be judged.

What is that going to be like? Well, the Father doesn’t have a physical body like He conferred on His divine Son. He has no mouth to speak words, no lungs to create breath to form words, no eyes to see, no fists to beat some sense into us. He is pure spirit.

He confined Lucifer into everlasting hell when Lucifer committed only one sin. Lucifer refused to abide by God’s will concerning the coming Messiah. The Father also confined a third of the angels into everlasting hell because they chose to follow Lucifer rather than obey God. The Father operates on mental thought, When He created the world He thought, “Let it be so,” and the world appeared in all its complexity and grandeur.

When each of us stands before His Great White Throne, God is going to flood us with His inspiration where, in an instant, God reveals to us His bitter disappointment that we refused to love Him and obey Him as He commanded. This inspiration will cover every aspect of what we have done and the reasons why we did it. There will be no remedy for us when God judges, no crooked lawyers to plea bargain, no one brave enough to contradict God’s true judgement. Jesus was the only hope we had, but some humans spent their whole lives ridiculing Him and defying His Church.

Why are so many Americans so defiant against God? I think that they have been misinformed about God and the seriousness of His commands and His punishment if we refuse to comply with His divine law. It troubles me to see so many Americans demonstrating their opposition to God, our daughters and our wives, all of them beguiled by strange ideologies to defy God no matter what. They don’t realize the seriousness of God’s dilemma in granting them free will and what happens if they use their free will to defy God.

We have to return to ethical living

Since we live in a pluralistic society, we cannot force Christianity on the citizenry, but we used to have ethics taught to our children by representatives of other faiths. And religion was taught by ministers in special classes held in public schools so that students at least would know what God expects of them.

Ethics was also taught in schools. Ethics is based on natural law. It is an instinctive understanding of what is morally correct built into our instincts by God. Natural law is binding even if we never learned God’s revelation. American society no longer believes it, but they don’t realize that our laws are based on ethics. It is morally wrong to murder, to steal, to lie, etc. our prisons are filled with people of all religious backgrounds who refuse to abide by ethics even when it is written into our laws.

My question to our political leaders is this: why did we stop teaching children religion and ethics? We teach children how to succeed in any profession by instructing them in essential rules and practices of any profession. Why do we not teach them the rules and practices of a solid good civilian life in our country? Refusing to teach them when they are young results in a whole generation who do not know how to live righteously. No wonder we have so much problem with crime, rape, gun violence and a host of other moral issues that are defied every day in our country.

We should believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We should learn to love God; after all He loves us. We should learn to obey God. If we loved God, we would never want to disobey Him. The wicked in America no longer love God. That’s why they find it so easy to defy Him. We have a natural instinctive reluctance to murder, rape, steal, lie and mistreat others. We should avoid these things.

If nobody insisted on ethical behavior, civilization would collapse. Imagine what life would be like in the world if nobody tried to comply with the impulses of natural law written in their hearts.

Conclusion

We almost had a government that would have done away with abortion, but we, the voters in America, have voted for a government that wants a national policy of abortion. If I were God I would hold you, the American voter, complicit for placing these people in power, as well as tolerating those who stand in the streets and call God a male chauvinist and a destroyer of woman‘s rights.

The devil did something similar when he beguiled Eve to eat the fruit. God was angry and cursed the devil and punished him with hell. And God punished Adam and Eve as well, as we all should be aware of in our sinful lives. The leaders of our country, whoever they are, are responsible for beguiling the American people in their current revolt against God.

God did not give men and women the right to destroy babies. The devil has given our country that right. Now you and I can wait and see God’s response to that blasphemy.

It’s time to wake up, America!

  1. Hello Kyle,

Thank you for reading my article, and thank you for your comment.

You say “God is not chauvinist; it is the churches that claims He is so. I searched The Internet to see if I was mistaken in my opinion that our culture accuses God of being chauvinistic. Here is what I found : Is God a Male Chauvinist? | The Perfect Prescription2014 (wordpress.com)

The first sentence of that quote is: “A common objection against the God of the Bible is that He is a male chauvinist. Leviticus 12: 2-5 is one of the Scriptures objectors cite, in which God commanded Israel that: If a woman has conceived, and borne a male child, then she shall be unclean seven days; as in the days of her customary impurity she shall be unclean.

A misinterpretation of what God had in mind is one of the many reasons our culture accuses God of being chauvinistic.”

You also say “One can be both pro-life and against the Texas law.” I don’t see how you can feel that way. The Texas law is a human law based on politics. It may be clumsily worded, and human society may eventually change it. But “You shall not kill” is God’s law binding on all humans is every circumstance except war and self-defense.

In ignoring God’s law because you think the political law prohibiting abortion is a bad law means you favor abortion until a better anti-abortion law is drawn up. That means you favor abortion in this situation.

My whole article is a warning to the American people about the seriousness of continued abortion. Do you think God will cave in over politics? You, my friend, and all Americans should not cave in because of political pressure because God is never going to condone the slaughter of innocent babies.

We are all facing God’s retribution against our country in this life and eternal hell in the next life if we persist in defying God.

    Sincerely,

    Maurice A. Williams

    1. Hi Maurice,

Let me explain the chauvinist bit. I don’t personally think God is a chauvinist. I do believe that perception exists culturally, but I think that perception exists because of the way organizations claiming to represent God act. For example, the Catholic church restricting women from having any official leadership role helps create that perception. Historically, including in the old testament, the sexes have been treated very differently. Continuing to treat the sexes differently based on customs from long ago is male chauvinist. But that doesn’t mean that treatment is of God.

Switching to the Texas law, I am against it because I don’t believe it will have the long-term effect of reducing abortions. I would like abortion to be illegal, but I want it to be a lasting, stable law that has the support of the population. The Texas law will only serve to harden positions and inflame divisions. It also carries with it massive risk that goes far beyond abortion. The vigilante aspect of the law could set an incredibly dangerous precedent that has impacts far beyond abortion. I want to make abortion illegal, but I don’t want to burn down our legal system or our country to do so.

Additionally, laws won’t necessarily stop abortions. Plenty of countries where abortion is illegal have incredibly high abortion rates just like us. Texas making abortion illegal just means women have to get one illegally or more simply drive to Oklahoma or Arkansas, etc. I think it’s fantasy to pretend that this Texas law will actually stop a material number of abortions from happening.

I agree that God does not condone the slaughter of babies. I just feel far more comfortable going before God and being able to tell him that I was trying to save lives in the long term and help my brother and sisters in His creation as opposed to telling Him I focused solely on trying to make it illegal and wash my hands of the problem.

I hope that helps clear up my position. Thanks for responding!

      Kyle

  3. To clarify, it is not God that is chauvinist. It is many of the churches (Catholic very much included) that claim to be acting in God’s name that are chauvinist.

Also, you can be both pro-life and against the Texas law. It is a bad law on many, many levels regardless of how you feel about abortion. The ends don’t justify the means, and the Texas law is bad policy (means).
