The Rosary – God’s “Chain” of Command

rosary, pray, prayer, beads

Way back in 1208 AD, St. Dominic was having trouble overcoming the Albigensian heresy. Those who promoted it were Gnostics who denied that Jesus was God and who believed that the material world was evil and only the spiritual world was good. As great of a preacher, as he was, he was getting nowhere. So the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to him and gave him the Rosary, straight from heaven, to fight the heretics. Did it work? Well, you certainly don’t see many Albigensians around anymore!

Mary’s Chain vs. Satan’s Chains

The rosary is made up of beads linked together in a chain (yes, there are string rosaries as well). If meditated on properly, the prayers of the Rosary free us from the chains that the devil has bound us up with to keep us from God.  The power of the Rosary to free us from the unholy shackles of satan lies in the repetitive nature of the Rosary – vocal prayer straight from the bible (the Our Father and Hail Mary), combined with the meditation on twenty biblical mysteries.  The first words of salvation in the New Testament were from Gabriel, “Hail, Full of Grace, the Lord is with thee” (Luke 1:28)  Repeating these words drives the devil crazy. Meditating on Scripture at the same time means that the devil does not have access to our sinful imagination during that time, so saying the Rosary properly keeps the devil out of our minds and hearts for at least 20 minutes.

Twofold Nature of the Rosary

Like any great song, the Rosary has both a melody (vocal prayer) and a harmony (the meditation). Think of the song “The Lion Sleeps Tonight.”  The high notes in the melody combined with the low notes (“aweem o way”) in the harmony, repeated over and over again, make it one of the greatest oldies of all time. Most people who grew up with that song have it burned into their brains!

Jesus’ Command

Jesus commanded the devil in the desert “BEGONE SATAN!” while he quoted Scripture to him (…” It is written…”). In much the same way, the Rosary acts as a biblical command from heaven to satan to be gone in our lives. The devil has told exorcists (who commanded him to speak the truth) that every Rosary and Hail Mary is a blow to his head.  Why? Because when you say the Rosary, the Holy Spirit-filled Mary shows up, and when she appears, he has to leave, in much pain. This is one way that the Rosary acts as a chain of command a command for satan to be gone in our lives.

Army Chain of Command

Mary is the Queen Mother of Heaven since she is the mother of the King of Kings. In the Bible, the mother of the Jewish Kings was the Queen Mother of the Jewish Kingdom (starting with Bathsheba and King Solomon). In Hebrew, the Queen Mother was called the “Gebirah,” or “Great Lady.”  In 1 Kings 1, she sat on a throne at the right hand of King Solomon and acted as an intercessor for the King’s subjects to present requests to the King. King Solomon told her that he would refuse her nothing.  The root word of “Gebirah” is “geber,” or “warrior strength.” “Geber” is where the Archangel Gabriel gets his name from, “the Strength of God.” In a sense then, Mary is like a very strong warrior General in God’s army, and she commands her legions of angels and saints to help all of her children (Revelation 12:17) to fight satan. As the best mother of all time, and the strongest General of all time, she intercedes and fights for her offspring to save them from hell. By saying the Rosary properly, then, we are accessing God’s army to fight the devil. We are using the Blessed Virgin Mary, his number one General, in the heavenly chain of command.

Mary’s Requests

When we obey God and say the Rosary daily, we are therefore doing more to save the world from global communism, satanism, and total annihilation, than the President, the Congress, the UN, etc., do combined. Why? Because those are all of human origin, while the Rosary is from God. Mary’s six requests at Fatima to say the Rosary daily for world peace didn’t originate with her, as her requests always originate from her Son. She does not make things up on her own but is a heavenly messenger from God.

Rosary Overcomes Communism7

The Rosary, if said enough, will defeat global communism, just like it did with the Albigensians in the 13th century, because of its heavenly origins. Think of Poland and all of the Rosaries its citizens said during the fifty years of Nazi/Soviet occupation. Now Poland is a totally free country because of Mary’s intervention. All of those Rosaries caused the Berlin Wall to come tumbling down, just like the walls of Jericho did in the Old Testament. (The walls of Jericho fell when the Ark of the Covenant was paraded before it for seven days.) Mary is the New Testament  Ark of the Covenant, and her heavenly intercession was also paraded before the Communist government in Poland (during public Rosaries).  The atheist Bolshevik workers’ revolution in the streets of Russia in 1917 was thus defeated in Poland by a Catholic workers’ revolution (Solidarity) in the streets of Poland in 1989.

“ISMS” Chains

There are many “isms” in human philosophy, most based on man’s reasoning without the input of God.

SECULARISM – This is the belief that it is possible to build a great world without God (separation of Church from the state). Secularism holds that being a good person apart from God is the way to live in the world. The people who espouse secularism always seem to be in a contest with Christians to “prove” that they can be just as good as a Christian can be, but without God.

RATIONALISM – This is the belief that human reason is all that is needed to understand the world. This “came to light” (the Enlightenment) in Europe in the seventeenth century, and it was the basis for the Catholic bloodbath in France during the unholy French Revolution. The Freemasons in France placed a prostitute on the altar of Notre Dame Cathedral to show the world what they thought of God, all the while killing hundreds of thousands of Catholics in the Vendée region of France. This philosophy falsely pits God versus the science He created.

SUBJECTIVISM or RADICAL INDIVIDUALISM – This ism is the denial of the authority of the Church’s authority. Jesus said in the Bible that He will build His church on the Rock named Peter. Therefore,  the Church has the authority of Jesus behind it. To say that whatever the individual thinks is best or right is the total denial of Scripture and the heavenly authority of Jesus.

RELATIVISM – This is the belief that there is no absolute truth and that there is no difference between personal opinion and truth. Pope Benedict XVI called this way of thinking the “dictatorship of relativism.” For the record, Jesus said that HE is the Truth.

PRAGMATISM – This belief states that the Church should get with the modern world or “go along to get along”. In other words, it says that sin can be determined by popular opinion and whatever the mainstream media tells us it is.

CONSUMERISM – This is the belief that personal possessions are all that matter – the more the better. Who needs God, after all, when our silos are full?

HEDONISM – This is the belief that sexual pleasure is the greatest good, and that personal suffering is the worst of all things.

Of course, all of these add up to PAGANISM, which is the total denial of God, His Church, the Bible, etc. But pagans are worshipers. While they don’t worship God, they do worship themselves!  If it feels good, they do it.

Pagans will eventually start to believe that they are the only ones who “deserve” to be on “their” planet” and will then start to take action to reduce the population to “save the earth,” through killing infants (Herod and Pharaoh), artificial birth control, abortion, injecting poison in unsuspecting medical patients, etc.

Satan’s Tactical Chains

There are many, but here are just a few:

  • The occult – The belief that satan’s power is preferred to God’s.
  • Pornography – Lust and idolatry all rolled into one. After the Garden of Eden, public nudity was forbidden by God.
  • Fornication – OK if the couple care about each other – but God says no!
  • Depression – Sadness at the past and what happened and what you could have done.
  • Anxiety – Worry about what could happen in the future. Instead, JUST TRUST IN GOD to take care of everything!
  • Comparing your plight to the rich non-believer down the street – He never seems to have any problems and never goes to Church. I need to be more like him. (God is rewarding him now, however,  and will punish him after death.)
  • Falling for someone you help out – When you become emotionally involved with a penitent or a needy person you assist. Being emotionally detached from people you have no business being in love with is the answer.
  • Feeling good is the greatest good – The 1960s taught us that “if it feels good, do it.”
  • The seven deadly sins of lust, greed, gluttony, envy, anger, pride, and sloth. (Overcome by the seven capital virtues of chastity, charity, temperance, brotherly love, patience, humility, and diligence)
  • Language – Cursing, suggestive talk, bad jokes, gossip
The 4 C’s

And when we embrace all of these horrors, the four C’s then kick in:

  • Compromise – One cannot compromise with evil, ever. We must always do the right thing at all times like Jesus and Mary did.
  • Confusion – Once we compromise with satan, then he warps our brains with needless facts, figures, and visions of things that could happen unless we take total control (instead of trusting in God).
  • Corruption – He then allows his minions to infect us with money payoffs, sexual trysts, and power grabs.
  • Collapse. The inevitable result is that evil always collapses on itself. This is EXACTLY what happened to the mighty Roman Empire.

Summary

So, use your Chain of Command, the Rosary, DAILY, to help God help us to fight the devil! Studies tell us that less than 5 % of Catholics pray their Rosary every day, so please take Mary’s advice and help her to save the world through the Most Holy Rosary!

  1. Ray,
The Holy Eucharist is the center of our great Faith. The Holy Rosary is the weapon and shield given to us by Our Great Queen. She is always promoting the Rosary. She is often pictured holding the Child Jesus and the Rosary. She is holding the Holy Eucharist and the Rosary!
Our Lady of Victories came about after the naval battle of Lepanto. The Pope requested people to pray the Rosary for victory against overwhelming odds.
If you go to EUCHARISTIC ADORATION CANADA, you will find 5 suggestions for intentions for the decades of the Rosary in reparation to the Holy Eucharist. Just go to “Resources”, then to “Reparation” and scroll down to the intentions. They can be read in over 100 languages. These intentions were placed on their website on 2-18-22.
I often think about the dream of St. John Bosco of the 2 towers (Our Lady and the Holy Eucharist). The Pope is trying to guide his great flagship between the pillars. The sea is raging as is a terrible naval battle. The flagship is under constant attack from numerous enemy ships. Finally, a Pope of the future manages to secure his flagship to the 2 towers. The enemy ships are destroyed.
I like to think that the Pope of the future will secure his flagship to the 2 towers with THE GREAT CHAIN OF THE HOLY ROSARY. Thus, the victory of the Immaculate Heart of Mary!
The story of how the intentions for the decades of the Rosary were first thought of are for another day. My Bishop said he found it “fascinating.”

    1. Way to go Cesar! One of the promises of the rosary is that he/she who propagates it will be aided by Mary in their necessities. So, now, you’ve got that going for you!

  4. Most things taken to the absolute extreme are not a good idea. I don’t see most of those “isms” as bad things if you look at them from somewhere less than the most extreme perspective (the most extreme being the definitions provided in the article).

The tactical chains bit is dangerous though. Depression and anxiety are legitimate medical problems. They are not a sign of a lack of holiness or trust in God. Implying that they are caused by a lack of faith/holiness is dangerous and hurtful to many people suffering from those conditions. If you really believe they are just the work of Satan, I would say you are most certainly safe from rationalism and pragmatism in your personal views.

  5. Around 400 years ago in Quito, Ecuador our Lady said, “Woe to the world should it lack monasteries and convents! Men do not comprehend their importance…in them can be found the remedy for all physical and moral evils… the salvation of souls, the conversion of great sinners, the end of great scourges, the fertility of the land, the end of pestilence and wars, and the harmony between nations. All this is due to the prayers that rise up from monasteries and convents.” Today our monasteries and convents are almost non-existent. It is up to the lay people to take up the slack through their prayers, especially the rosary. Genesis 3:15 lays out the battle lines. “I will put enmity between you and the woman, between your offspring and her offspring.” As promised by Mary, when we say the rosary we ARE her offspring. We engage with her in her battle against the the demonic; surmounting the evils which pollute the world.
