Excellent and very true.
I was always taught that our reward for believing and serving God is a place with Him in paradise – not riches on Earth. Even Jesus’ beloved Mother and closest friends were not spared suffering and never escaped poverty.
Prosperity on earth comes with responsibilities to the Church and to others. It is not meant to be fully spent on ourselves, but to share with others and to assist those who suffer.
God
I’ve always wondered about the Magi’s gift of gold and how much it would have have been worth in todays US currency.
