The devil seems to be so powerful these days, with riots in the streets, ginned up racial strife, rampant abortion, and pornography, decreased church attendance, and with so many people being more in love with money and things rather than with Jesus. The antidote to all of this hell is the rosary. By saying the rosary daily, along with the accompanying meditation on the 20 mysteries contained in the Holy Bible, you will be doing more for world peace than any president, politician, or “good person” does. Why? Because Mary’s soul MAGNIFIES the Lord, which makes Jesus larger, clearer, and brighter, in a very dark world.
Why Mary?
The reason that invoking Mary as our intercessor (John 2) through prayer is so powerful is that God set it up that way. Genesis 3:15 refers to the fall of Adam and Eve. That verse (Douay-Rheims version) says:
I will put enmities between thee and the woman, and thy seed and her seed: she shall crush thy head, and thou shalt lie in wait for her heel.
Since women have eggs, and not “seeds” (“semen” in Latin), this has to be one VERY special woman; a woman who gives birth as a virgin. Her seed, of course, is Jesus Christ, and the other seeds are the devil’s children. This “protoevangelium” (first Gospel) is the first prophecy in the bible, and what it tells us all is that Mary and Jesus are a team (the new Adam and Eve) who will overcome the disobedience of the first Adam and Eve. All of this is played out in Revelation 12. Revelation 12:17 says that we are Mary’s children if we obey the Commandments and acknowledge that Jesus is the Christ. The first crushing of the head of the serpent (the Crucifixion) was accomplished at Golgotha, “The Place of the Skull.”
How to Say the Rosary
The secret to saying the rosary, of course, is the meditation on the mysteries. Each meditation on each mystery consists of saying one Our Father, 10 “Hail Mary’s” (while meditating on the mystery), the “Glory Be to the Father Prayer,” and the “Fatima Prayer” (“Oh my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, and lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of thy mercy”). At the end of the rosary, the “Hail Holy Queen” prayer is usually said. The meditation on these events is the key to the Rosary. Mindlessly repeating the “Hail Mary” prayer without the meditation on these mysteries is not the proper way to say the rosary, but when the vocal prayer (the body of the rosary), is combined with the mental meditation of the 20 mysteries (the soul of the rosary), then it is actually praying the gospel of Jesus Christ!
The physical rosary beads are nothing more than prayer counters to help us remember when it is time to switch over to the next mystery. If one is truly meditating, then trying to remember the number of “Hail Mary’s” would be tough. By fingering the beads, it merely assists us with the count. While it is tough to try to meditate on the mysteries at the same time one is saying the Hail Mary, the key to properly saying the rosary is to concentrate much less on the “Hail Mary,” and more on the mysteries. Putting one’s self back in time mentally and trying to visualize actually being at the scene of the mystery is a good technique to use. And be sure to get your rosary blessed by a priest. The blessing on the rosary drives the devil away even faster.
The Scourge of Satan
The reason that the rosary is the scourge of the devil is that we are repeating a mantra (“the Hail Mary”), which contains the very first words of salvation in the New Testament, that is, Gabriel’s words to Mary, which gives her the new title of “Full of Grace.” Gabriel didn’t make up these words, as he is a messenger of God, so these words announcing the fact that she is “Full of Grace” came directly from God Himself. Mary’s obedience thus overcomes Eve’s disobedience to God. By saying yes to God, Mary thus becomes the new Eve, through which salvation would enter the world. Eve gave us forbidden fruit to eat, which leads to death; Mary gives us the Eucharist, which leads to eternal life. Repeating this announcement by a former colleague of Lucifer’s (Gabriel) of the coming birth of the Messiah through the Virgin Mary, over and over again, surely causes him great pain. He remembers well that those words were the beginning of the end of his reign!
At the same time that we are saying the Hail Mary’s, we are using our subconscious mind to meditate on the passion and other mysteries of Mary and Jesus in the Bible. That means that the devil, for the amount of time we are meditating, cannot access our imagination with his impure suggestions. The combination of the mantra that the devil hears out loud, along with the fact that we are shutting down his unholy suggestions to our mind, means that he is beaten down for that time. And the good news is that there is an afterglow effect, so that after saying the rosary, our minds and our souls become more attuned to what he is doing to us, and we, therefore, are much stronger telling him no in the future.

1. Whoever shall faithfully serve me by the recitation of the Rosary, shall receive signal graces.
2. I promise my special protection and the greatest graces to all those who shall recite the Rosary.
3. The Rosary will be a powerful armor against hell. It will destroy vice, decrease sin and defeat heresies.
4. It will cause virtue and good works to flourish; it will obtain for souls the abundant mercy of God; it will withdraw the hearts of men from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire of eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means.
5. Those who recommend themselves to me by the recitation of the Rosary shall not perish.
6. Whoever shall recite the Rosary devoutly, applying himself to the consideration of its sacred Mysteries shall never be conquered by misfortune. God will not chastise him in His justice, he shall not perish by an unprovided death; if he be just, he shall remain in the grace of God, and become worthy of eternal life.
7. Whoever shall have a true devotion for the Rosary shall not die without the sacraments of the Church.
8. Those who are faithful to recite the Rosary shall have during their life and at their death, the light of God and the plenitude of His graces; at the moment of death they shall participate in the merits of the saints in paradise.
9. I shall deliver from purgatory those who have been devoted to the Rosary.
10. The faithful children of the Rosary shall merit a high degree of glory in heaven.
11. You shall obtain all you ask of me by the recitation of the Rosary.
12. All those who propagate the holy Rosary shall be aided by me in their necessities.
13. I have obtained from my Divine Son that all the advocates of the Rosary shall have for intercessors the entire celestial court during their life and at the hour of death.
14. All who recite the Rosary are my sons, and brothers of my only son, Jesus Christ.
15. Devotion to my Rosary is a great sign of predestination.
Refuting the Arguments against the Rosary
To those who say that Mary is dead and can’t hear our prayers, they are “dead” wrong.
Luke 20:38: “Now he is God not of the dead, but of the living; for to him all of them are alive.”
1 Corinthians 6:17: “But anyone united to the Lord becomes one spirit with him.“
In other words, Mary is very much alive and is TOTALLY united with the Lord in spirit. Catholics believe that the “Great Cloud of Witnesses” mentioned in Hebrews 12 is NOT a huge pile of dead corpses, but instead, is very much alive.
Some people mistakenly think that it is wrong to talk to the dead, even if it is only asking for their heavenly intercession (James 5:16 says that the prayers of a righteous person are very powerful). Jesus talked to the dead at the Transfiguration, and Peter also talked to the dead.
However, do people in heaven pray for us, the living? In 2 Maccabees 15:14, the long-dead Jeremiah prays very much for his people. In Revelation 5:8 and 8:3, it says that the saints present our prayers to God in the form of incense.
What about “vain repetition” that the bible warns against in Matthew 6:7? Well, that refers to petitionary prayer, as the next verse says that God knows what we need before we ask him. The Rosary is meditative prayer on the Gospels, not petitionary prayer. And besides, the meditation part of the rosary combined with the mantra of the “Hail Mary” is straight from the Bible and do not qualify as useless prayers of pagans to idols. And besides, Jesus says the exact same words in the Garden of Gethsemane, 3 times. Psalm 136 repeats the same prayer 26 times!
Conclusion
Mary asked us to say the rosary daily for world peace, at Lourdes and Fatima. So, what are you waiting for? It will make your secret sin in the confessional melt away, and it will lift you and your family to heaven if you keep it up!

Satan laughs at the rosary. The problem with not just the rosary but the whole idea of Saints in Heaven praying for people on Earth is (1) the dead know nothing and (2) the Saints in Heaven are in bliss which they wouldn’t be if they were busy praying for us. The 1st millennium Roman catholic church via the LaoDicean Synod Canons 34, 35, and 36 and ArchBishop Gregorius I the Rome in his commentary on Matthew 6:6–8 condemned exactly what the rosary is and using pagan titles synonymous to the pagan titles of “PatriArch”, “Ecumenical PatriArch”, “Pope”, and “Pontifex Maximus” in his letter to John the Faster. The problem with the bible is it constantly contradicts itself on such matters of Faith and Morality as Christ Jesus Being or not Being God the Son, Salvation being by Faith ALone or works too, oathtaking, the Law of ReTaliation vs “universal forgiveness”, et cetera. It’s “Holy Ghost”; not “Holy Spirit”. The 2 phrases don’t mean the same thing in English. “Holy Ghost” unambiguously refers to the 3rd Person Of/In the TriUnity. “Holy Spirit” can mean many things. English is such a dumbed down language.

can the Devil snap a Rosary?
I feel that I am attacked every day and today was worse. The rosary was broken in my pocket
It gives me clarity and a certain priest I met said the devil felt the blows from it like a hammer, not sure.
What are SIGNAL graces
Hi Maureen…Signal Graces are signs sent by God to help us make the right decisions in life. Signal graces usually come about as subtle hints to help keep us moving in the right direction.
WHAT ARE SIGNAL GRACES –
Signal Graces are signs sent by God to help us make the right decisions in life. Moses saw a burning bush as a sign from God, and other people received signs from God daily. Signal graces usually come about as subtle hints to help keep us moving in the right direction – these signs are truly gifts from God.
.
However, most people consider signs and answered prayers as signal graces. It’s like trail markers or signposts that whisper in our ear: “This is the way, walk this path.”
Our lives are full of doubts and uncertainty, and making a decision, whether big or small, can be overwhelming. But these signs or signal graces are sent by God to help us make the right decisions in life. He doesn’t want us to live in fear. Instead, He wants us to be sure and confident with our life choices.
God gives us signal graces to prepare us for the new phase in life, and it usually comes as subtle hints to guide us on the right path. Signal graces not only keep us in the right direction but also build up our trust and faith in the Lord.
.
HOW CAN A PERSON BE GRANTED A SIGNAL GRACE?
Signal graces are given to those who faithfully pray the rosary daily. The Virgin Mary gave fifteen promises and that includes special protection and greatest graces for those who recite the holy rosary. In exchange for praying the holy rosary, Our Blessed Mother Virgin Mary asks our Lord on our behalf to give us the signal graces that we need. The daily recitation of the sacred rosary allows you to be more conscious in a way that God helps you by communicating with you every day.
.
WHAT ARE SOME EXAMPLES OF SIGNAL GRACE?
When a sudden unexpected decrease in a fixed expense occurs after you stood firm in your conviction not to work on Sundays, that is a signal grace of a well discerned choice. When you prayed for a simple way to help an elderly neighbor and realized, as you are thinking about her, that you made way too much dinner, that is a signal grace.
This is so practical and helpful to me spiritually.
Thank you, Ray !
P.S.
meditating on the mysteries has illuminated the Scriptures for me in a totally unique and edifying way.
Hi Bob – Thanks for the kudos…Meditating on the scripture led me to think that God pulled man out of the dust and blew the breath of life into him, in Genesis. In Matthew, man caused God to fall down in the dust 3 times to take the breath of life out of him (the carrying of the cross meditation!)
