As calendar year 2021 comes to a close, I want to take this opportunity to thank you – Catholic Stand’s many readers – for allowing Catholic Stand to be part your lives. Catholic Stand’s writers put a great deal of time and effort into their writing and their articles, and it is especially gratifying to know their efforts are appreciated.
Links to many articles that have appeared at CS since it first went online in 2013 continue to be shared via email and on social media. In fact CS’s most read article, “Pope Francis Has Single-Handedly Destroyed Catholicism,” by JoAnna Wahlund, was still being commented on in late 2021 even though the article originally ran in 2013. It has also garnered 954 comments to date.
Of course comments on articles do not tell the whole story of an article’s impact. CS’s fourth most read article of all time, “How to Bury Your Baby After a Miscarriage,” also by Joanna Wahlund, was only commented on 21 times, but it’s pretty clear that, sadly, the article still has meaning for more than few readers.
And since I’ve mentioned the #1 and # 4 most read CS articles, it’s only fitting that I round out the top five CS articles of all time:
#2 – “My Answers To Questions About Gay Marriage” by Leila Miller (June 24, 2015)
#3 – “Beware the Red Kettle: The Salvation Army and Abortion” by Birgit Jones, CS Graphics Editor and writer (December 21, 2015)
#5 – “Why Women Wear Chapel Veils – And Should You Too?” by Steffani Jacobs (May 5, 2017)
All these articles continue to receive comments, so we know they are still being read. Steffani’s Chapel Veils article, for instance, was last commented on this past summer, and Birgit’s Red Kettle article was last commented one year ago.
The 2021 Top 10
This past year, eight of the top 10 most read article ran in 2021, while two were from past years. This just shows that CS articles continue to make the rounds long after their “expiration dates!”
The Top 10 most read CS articles in 2021 were:
#10 – “Who Are You Inviting into Your Home?” by J.a.c. Man (June 16, 2021)
#9 – “Have You Ever Considered Building a Home Chapel?” by J.a.c. Man (July 2, 2021)
#8 – “Our Lady’s Seven Last Words” by Lilia Borlongan-Alvarez (March 10, 2021)
#7 – “Purgatory Explained By Saints’ Quotes” by Ray Sullivan (August 16, 2021)

#2 – “Generational Spirits – Fact or Fiction?” by Ray Sullivan (May 24, 2021)
#1 – “How to Know if You Are Under a Spiritual Attack” by Wendy McMahan (March 1, 2021)
On behalf of Tito Edwards, Founder & Owner of Catholic Stand, and myself, thank you to all our readers and to all of our writers as well. May you have a blessed Christmas season and a happy, healthy, and holy 2022.
