Vatican 2 accomplished what it was destined to. It was the Judas goat that lead the faithful out of a crumbling theology that would have overwhelming embarrassed you very Trads. The NO inadvertently helped accelerate what would have been a much more precipitous exodus in a much shorter amount of time with no one to blame had it not taken place. TLM has a small niche in Catholicism’s future; to think its unfettered promulgation is going to restore circa 1950 is magical thinking. It’s all about theology now and you guys living in SmallVille are to be both envied – for your surety – and pitied – for lacking a horizon.
