Victim Souls Defeat Satan

CS_StPadrePio_WikiCommons

So who are “victim souls” who defeat Satan? Victim souls are people specifically chosen by the Blessed Virgin Mary to be united with her Son in his intense and holy suffering, in order to help save other souls around the world from hell.  Their extreme pain somehow mystically atones for the punishment that is due for my sins and the sins of others around the planet. This spiritual battle results in defeating many of Satan’s demons, and banishing them from earth into hell, where they belong. Victim souls are totally united with the suffering of Jesus on the cross 24/7/365.

According to the book, Mary Crushes the Serpent, the exorcist author says that the Blessed Virgin Mary chooses victim souls from among the weakest people. After gaining their voluntary permission to suffer pain in body AND soul to save countless other souls from hell, she grants them the graces to withstand it all (these graces do not ease the intense agony; rather, they give the victim soul the gift of final perseverance to suffer mightily until death, which sometimes takes decades). Mary then attaches demons to the victim soul, so that they will engage the victim in a spiritual battle of horrifying visions, excruciating pain, and the feeling of total abandonment by God. The demons cannot stand the willing suffering of the victim souls, because these souls undertake this battle out of their love for God. For the demons, it is like a human existing in hell. Once the love of the victim soul overcomes the attacks of the demons for good, the demons are then banished to their home in hell. During this fight to the finish, countless other souls around the world are thus saved from damnation. It is important to remember that a victim soul  imitates our Lord and His Mother in their voluntary suffering for sins of mankind; Jesus, by his crucifixion, and Mary, by having her soul pierced with a sword.

Crucified Souls

The book also states that there are countless unknown “crucified souls” as well. These crucified souls join with the victim souls to fight Satan. They undergo the following suffering:

“all spiritual disturbances and darknesses of soul; the feeling of abandonment by God; temptations against faith; and temptations against purity leading to discouragement and despair.”

So if you, like me, have experienced any of the above repeatedly, just know that you are part of Mary’s plan to assist the victim souls and St. Michael in their mission to save others from hell.

Victim Souls in the Bible

St. Paul is the prime example of this in Sacred Scripture. He says the following:

“I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.” (Galatians 2:20)

Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I complete what is lacking in Christ’s sufferings for the sake of his body, that is, the church.” (Colossians 1:24)

In the first quote from Galatians, St. Paul says that he has been crucified with Christ. Now Paul was a Roman citizen, and Roman citizens, condemned to death, were beheaded, not crucified. So this statement of his has a spiritual meaning. Some think that Paul may have been a stigmatist, having the wounds of Christ on his body. Others think that it refers to his references of suffering in 2 Corinthians 11:23-27:

“Are they servants of Christ? I am a better one – I am talking like a madman – with far greater labors, far more imprisonments, with countless beatings, and often near death. Five times I have received at the hands of the Jews the forty lashes less one. Three times I have been beaten with rods; once I was stoned. Three times I have been shipwrecked; a night and a day I have been adrift at sea; on frequent journeys, in danger from rivers, danger from robbers, danger from my own people, danger from Gentiles, danger in the city, danger in the wilderness, danger at sea, danger from false brethren; in toil and hardship, through many a sleepless night, in hunger and thirst, often without food, in cold and exposure.”

St. Paul shows us the right way to become united with Christ. He offers up his own suffering to the Lord while doing His work on earth. He becomes another christ (lower case), not only in his priesthood, but also in his agony.  In so doing, he helps to defeat the plan of Satan, not only in his life, but also in the life of the world.

In the second quote above, from Colossians 1:24, St. Paul seems to indicate that the sufferings of Christ were not sufficient for our salvation.  But St. John Paul II once said that what St. Paul really means is not that; rather, it means that what is missing from Christ’s suffering is our own suffering united with his. In other words, the committed followers of Christ must suffer with him, if we are to truly be his followers. St. Peter agrees with him in 1 Peter 4:13:

“But rejoice in so far as you share Christ’s sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed.”

So while not all of us are chosen for the great suffering of St. Paul and other victim souls, we can and should EVERY DAY offer up our pain and misery to God so as to unite ourselves with Him on the cross. Bishop Sheen lamented the fact that so much suffering was wasted, and not offered up to God. And for sure, not a day should go by without our meditating on His holy passion. Why? Because meditation on the Passion means that the devil does not have access to our imagination for that time, and it also is healing for our souls.

Other biblical victim souls would include the Blessed Virgin Mary (her soul was pierced with a sword), and the 12 apostles, who all suffered mightily for preaching the word of God. All were martyred, except for St. John, possibly because he was the only apostle brave enough to be with Jesus during His crucifixion.

 Other Victim Souls

So who are some other victim souls?

One of my favorites is St. Gemma Galgani, a saint who died in 1903 at the age of 25. She received the stigmata (the wounds of Christ) in her own body on June 8, 1899. She had a great devotion to the passion of Jesus, and in one of her visions with Jesus, He told her that it is through suffering that one learns to love. She had many visions of Jesus and the Blessed Virgin Mary to help her through her agony with the stigmata. But that wasn’t her only suffering. She was also physically attacked by the devil. Satan dislocated her bones, pulled  some of her hair out, stole a book that she wrote on her life, and even threw her down the stairs. He tempted her with sensual thoughts so much that she dunked herself into ice cold water in a well outside in the garden! He told her not to pray for the conversion of sinners; this seemed to make him the angriest. It was only through prayer and her total abandonment to Jesus that she survived his unholy attacks.

St. Gemma once said:

“It is not enough to look at the Cross or wear it, we must carry it in the depths of our hearts.”

In other words, we shouldn’t just be admirers of Jesus on the cross; instead, we should join him in his suffering, so as to help Him to atone for the sins of the world. And this she did, for four years, until her death. To learn more about this great saint, a free book about her is available here.

Another victim soul, relatively unknown, is St. Serafina of San Gimignano, Italy. She lived during the 13th century, the time of St. Dominic, St. Anthony, and St. Francis. She had a great devotion to St. Gregory the Great, and to the Blessed Virgin Mary as well. When she was ten, her body underwent paralysis, and she chose to lie on a wooden pallet, instead of on a bed. For five years she endured this pain, with worms from the pallet infecting her back. However, many townspeople began to undergo miraculous recoveries as a result of her intercession. St. Gregory appeared to her in a vision and told her that she would die on his feast day of March 12. When she died on that date, the church bells in town somehow rang by themselves. Violets mysteriously grew from the wooden pallet once her body was removed. The town of San Gimignano still celebrates her feast day on March 12. And in a testimony to her holiness, violets grow from the walls of San Gimignano to this day.

The most famous modern day victim soul is St. Padre Pio, who died in 1968. He was the first priest to experience the stigmata, or the wounds of Christ in his body. He endured them for fifty years. He was regularly beaten up by the devil. Satan sometimes took the form of a naked woman to entice him to sin.  He performed exorcisms, healed the blind,  heard hundreds of confessions daily, had the gift of bilocation, and he knew if you were hiding sins in the confessional from him.  He undertook the task of building a free hospital for the care of the sick. This great Franciscan priest and imitator of Christ continues to save many souls from hell today, if we ask him to adopt us, and our families, as his spiritual children.

In the movie, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, the true story of modern day victim soul Anneliese Michel was told. She was a young German woman who was possessed by Satan, and who was also visited by the Blessed Virgin Mary. Mary gave her the choice to either continue suffering for the salvation of others, or to quit. She chose to continue the suffering, and she eventually died. The priest who exorcised her was accused of denying her medicine for depression, and he was tried in court for murder. The exorcisms were recorded on tape, and are indeed horrifying.

What It All Means for Us

The bottom line is that suffering is how we all learn to love, IF we unite our misery with that of Christ’s Passion. After all, when things are easygoing and wonderful in our lives, for most of us, the tendency is to forget about God and to enjoy the pleasures of earthly life. But that isn’t for what we are here. Our purpose now is to know God, to love God, and to serve God on earth, so as to be happy with Him in heaven forever. Suffering with Christ is the catalyst for those things to happen. Most of us will never be asked to be victim souls. However, if we are true to our Catholic faith, we can become a crucified soul. As such, we join in the spiritual battle with the victim souls, as well as St. Michael and his legion of saints and angels to defeat Satan, and thus save souls who otherwise would have been lost in hell forever.

Bible Quotes on Suffering

Acts 9:15-16: But the Lord said to him, “Go, for he is a chosen instrument of mine to carry my name before the Gentiles and kings and the sons of Israel; or I will show him how much he must suffer for the sake of my name.”

Romans 5:3: More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance.

Philippians 1:29: For it has been granted to you that for the sake of Christ you should not only believe in him but also suffer for his sake.

2 Timothy 2:3: Take your share of suffering as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.

The satanists, freemasons, globalists even managed to install a fake pope in the Vatican, the usurper bertoglio took the seat of our Pope Benedict during a coup in 2013.

The reality is that Benedict is still the Pope but the forces of evil have confiscated his seat and keep him away from the Vatican!

    1. Could the current pope be the final pope, as revealed to Malachy in 1139?
Can he be the false prophet described in Revelation 13?

  4. The devil is there around us every single day since March 2020.
He’s forcing you to wear masks, a clear symbol of submission and of satanism.
He’s lying to you through the mainstream media controlled by his puppets.
He’s lying to you through the governments controlled by his puppets.
He’ s destroying humanity and our rights as we write, and he will not stop until we rise to stop him.
He invented a staged ‘pandemic’ to impose darkness and terror upon this earth.
People who follow his orders , who believe his lies are lost, muzzle wearers are his new subjects.
When is the church and the Christians going to react and refuse to become souless zombies?

When are you going to realize that this is a global deception, there is no danger, there is no ‘pandemic’, there are only a tiny amount of rich and powerful people working for taking over your souls and earth resources and satan is their master?

    Wake up and act!

    1. You are wrong on so many levels. It is you my friend who is under the influence of Satan. Not the mask wearers, not the ones who care about others, but you. It’s fairly obvious that you have chosen to follow a man who is corrupt, who is nothing but a liar, and one who seeks power and admiration at any cost. You are being deceived and you don’t even know it. Are you going to deny that cancer exists too? After all this is willful ignorance. You should be ashamed of yourself for denying the suffering, the pain and the death of over a half million people in the United States alone.

  5. Anna:
Not going to give it a rest.
It is Advent. We should be preparing for the return of our Lord. But this time He is not coming as a babe in swaddling clothes. He will be returning as the King of Kings, the Lord of lords, and a mighty warrior (as described in Revelation 17:14 and 19:1-16).

    1. Anna:
Actually the Scriptures tell us that no one knows the day or hour.
But there are clues, or signs, in Daniel, Ezekiel, Zechariah, Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21, and, of course, the Book of Revelation.

  6. Sally:
I’m pointing out scriptures that appear to conflict with ideas proffered by the author. I’m not an “expert” on the scriptures, but neither is he, or you. But since the scriptures are the primary source of our faith, why not reference them?
    For example, Paul wrote:
    2 Timothy 3:14-17
    New American Bible (Revised Edition)
14 But you, remain faithful to what you have learned and believed, because you know from whom you learned it, 15 and that from infancy you have known [the] sacred scriptures, which are capable of giving you wisdom for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for refutation, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 so that one who belongs to God may be competent, equipped for every good work.

Paul is writing to Timothy and reminding him of his knowledge of sacred scriptures from infancy. Is he referring to the OT or the NT? My Catholic Bible says that the first Gospel, Mark, was written in 70 AD. Since Paul died around 63-65 AD, Timothy would not have seen the NT. So Paul had to be referencing the OT books.

According to Acts 17, Paul taught in the synagogue for three sabbaths in Thessalonica, conducting discussions about the Scriptures. Again, he would have discussed the OT. But he referenced the scriptures.

  7. Ray:

My Catholic Bible, which I received after completing the RCIA program over 30 years ago, suggests that the Book of Revelation was written near the end of the reign of Domitian (81-96 AD). I have seen other sources suggest 90 AD. As the scripture states that it is about things to come, why would you suggest that it is about the destruction of Jerusalem in 70AD? Is this the official interpretation of the RCC? Wondering because I haven’t heard this in any homily from numerous Catholic priests over the course of 45 years in attending mass.
As far as the Protestants removing books from the Bible, didn’t the Catholic Church forbid it’s laity to even have a copy of the Bible in their own language during the Middle Ages?

    1. Stop obsessing about the end times. Stop obsessing about Revelation. Jesus said only the Father knows when the end of the world will occur and to not be surprised when we see signs.

Also, I’ve heard the interpretation of the destruction of Jerusalem in homilies before. And in Scripture classes. And it’s also prophetic about the end. However, as Ray has said before, God is not going to reveal everything in the Bible. He never made that promise anywhere. Again, it’s the mystery of God. And God will decide when he wants to reveal, how he wants to reveal something and why he wants to reveal something. He’s managed to look out for humanity without your help or mine.

Just give it a rest already with the Book of Revelation and the end times for a while.

  8. Anna,
Shall I say thanks for your response?
Yes, because being called boring or a possible heretic is not as bad as a blasphemer.
However, maybe you should take a look at the Book of Revelation and read the introduction. It is one of the books of the Bible that clearly states its intent and its source, written by the Apostle John around 90 AD. It answers questions about the end times, but adds a warning in Chapter 22. Check it out.
I find that priests and the RCC avoid discussing it as if it was the plague. Not a boring topic, as it seems that we are now entering the end of the age, when Jesus will return.

    1. You failed to answer my questions, Robert. Why is it when a question is posed to a Protestant the response is to always look at a Scripture passage? I’m well aware of Revelation. I’m well aware of both Protestant and Catholic end time warnings. I can only live in the present and try to live a virtuous life. I can’t focus on a period that may not happen in my lifetime. You hiding behind Scripture only helps you avoid any actual conversation about God. Protestant or Catholic, when I ask a question I expect an answer not a Scripture quote or a platitude.

    2. The beginning of the book of Revelation says that these events must happen soon. It’s primarily talking about the Mass and the destruction of Jerusalem in the literal sense, in 70 AD. But history does repeat itself, so, in the anagogical sense, it is also talking about events happening in heaven, aka, the heavenly liturgy which the 300,000 masses around the world (Malachi 1:11) enter into. The destruction of Jerusalem (because Israel is called a harlot over and over again in the OT) is an allusion to the end of the world, but the book is primarily about the Mass with incense, candles, vestments, hidden manna, the 144,000 celibate priests in heaven, etc., which protestants don’t see because they know nothing about the 2000 year old liturgy of the Holy Catholic Church. And they certainly know nothing about oral tradition, which Paul proclaims in 2 Thessalonians 2:15.

And besides all that, the bible itself says that not all things are contained in it, in the last paragraph of the Gospel of John. The Holy Spirit was sent to guide us into truth (John 16:13), and one of the ways this happens is through exorcisms, and what is revealed there. But protestants know nothing about this, because they are stuck with only a literal interpretation of our Bible, missing 7 books that Luther kicked out on his own authority, while adding words to other verses of the bible.

And it would really help if they would actually READ the article first, before proclaiming their ignorance…

  9. Robert says:
“Why does Jesus need the plan of Mary and the archangel Michael to save souls from damnation?”

Why did God send an angel to strengthen Christ in the Garden before His crucifixion if He is capable of doing all things on His own?
Why did God choose the Apostles and work with them and teach them to establish the faith on earth if He is capable of doing all things on His own?
Why did God need John the Baptist to come before Him and call the people to repentance and Baptism if He is capable of doing all things on His own?
Why did God send an angel to Mary to announce her being chosen to be the Mother of the Savior and that she would conceive by the power of the Holy Spirit, not by man, if He is capable of doing all things on His own? He very easily could have just shown up. Why bother with a woman?
God appears to use others to accomplish His will. St. Michael and Mary have been given the task of assisting Jesus in saving souls. Who are we to question God? They continue to be forever humble and obedient to His will. Why does this upset you?

Why does Jesus need to have others suffer for the salvation of souls?
Because it’s Christian charity. Didn’t St. Paul explain this clearly enough for you? Didn’t Paul’s experiences of suffering in all situations to bring others to Christ as he said, explain why we continue to suffer for the salvation of souls? Take for instance someone who follows Christ, but suffers from terrible spiritual pride that has blinded them. Christ loves this person, but the pride is a major hindrance and possible downfall for this soul. Out of the Lord’s mercy and the charity of another soul, they willingly suffer the sinners pride so the sinner is able to be free of the hindrance long enough to receive light and truth and hopefully repent. A soul is saved by the grace and mercy of God. This is only one example, as there are many.

Why do you suggest that victim souls defeat Satan, when he is not vanquished until the return of Jesus Christ?
There’s a difference between defeating Satan in a battle over a soul, and vanquishing him completely. You’re referring to two different things.

    1. What disturbs me about the article, as well as your comments, is the
possible lack of biblical support for the statements.
For example, where in the Bible does it say that Mary and Archangel Michael have been tasked with assisting Jesus with the saving of souls or making a plan for the salvation of souls?

  10. The struggle against the self will to thus allow the Divine Will , as The Kingdom of God to reign in our hearts and creation itself – God in His merciful and loving design , has willed to bring back the dignity to creation , to creatures , by inviting creation itself , to be brought back to the glory that it was destined to be in , being in One Will of exchange of love ..
St.Fautina mentions how we humans have been created to replace the fallen angels .
Their rebellion that brought chaos through out the universe ..Adam , created in light and splendor of the Divine Will , lost it , in The Fall .. thus the self will and its rebellion and effects ..

St.Paul , ? other Apostles as well , with mystical experiences , very likely given the truth of the whole plan of God , including for the Reign of the Divine Will , for these times , thus to give us deeper trust , in the need to persevere in trusting love , to allow the self will to die , to be reborn in The Divine Will , its splendor and glory to bring continuous Feasts , like waves and oceans of goodness , into all created realms ..
Our times , with the flood of wickedness and loss of faith , through the evil thoughts in self will , with the father of lies invited in , by breaking the seals of hell in evil actions ..

The Lord , in His mercy , chooses to show the power and splendor , of a Life of praise and love , in The Divine Will , giving to The Father , the love we owe Him , to unleash more love in us , in loving Him with the will and love with which He loves us ..The Lord , His Mother and the sufferings , trials all such , to help to make same possible .

Good Christmas meditations , on the flames and oceans of love , for each of us , contained in the ‘little humanity ‘ of The Lord , in The Womb ..in Love , that Is Patient in suffering .
May all the sufferings of each , be united to that of The Lord and His Mother , to
plead for the Reign of The Kingdom of the Divine Will ..

I am a better one – I am talking like a madman – with far greater labors, far more imprisonments, with countless beatings, and often near death. Five times I have received at the hands of the Jews the forty lashes less one. Three times I have been beaten with rods; once I was stoned.”

I had a friend who saw the very worse of Vietnam. When he got home he used to go into bars and pick fights with people much tougher than himself. He lost a few teeth along
the way and woke up in jail even more. He later learned from a therapist that he was PUTTING himself in these situation for the payback he thought he deserved. He and St Paul could have taken a less in-your-face stance but the brain of a saint or a soldier is hard wired the same way when it comes to guilt and self recrimination. Paul was most likely there at the stoning of St Steven and to have God wake you in a rude and embarrassing manner must have traumatized him deeply. My friend went on to get a degree in music composition and a CPA in finance. St Paul went on to change the world with the hard nosed attitude he carried throughout most of his life,

  12. Ray,
Certainly Paul’s writings are in my Bible. But isn’t the prime source of our faith is from God, and the Living Word, the King of Kings, the Lamb of God, our Messiah, JESUS CHRIST!

  13. an ordinary papist

It’s too bad the author doesn’t have a shred of knowledge of what we know and are learning about how the brain works. Having, like millions of others, survivors guilt from participating in a war with ten toes and fingers, or even less for those affected with guilt by not dying, psychoanalyzing a person who helped kill and imprison God knows how many, so much so that God went through the extraordinary act of knocking him off his horse and blinding him, resulted in one massive guilt trip both on himself and others.
St. Paul was indubitably chased by the furies for his past and seemed not able to forgive himself for the mistakes. Like most people who survive such trauma, they tend to lead
(see some classic examples in 2 Corinthians ) high risk lives. If the many saints named by the author were to revive today and see the state of Christendom they would believe Satan had already won. Offering our pain up to God is what the nuns taught, inflicting
pain on ourselves serves naught but a dysfunctional ego.

    1. Wow! No pulling punches with your comments.
I like to depend on the scriptures provided to us by the Lord.
The defeat of Satan is clearly described for us in The Book of Revelation. Nothing in that scripture attributes his defeat to Mary, the “victim souls”, or the “crucified souls”. See Revelation 20: 7-10.
In fact, Mary is not mentioned much in the scriptures, yet all were probably written after her death. No recording of the Assumption. If this incredible event took place, don’t you think that one of the writers would have mentioned it?

    1. I hope I can one day be as boring as you and have no interesting questions for God.

Robert, God did send Jesus to guide us to him but that doesn’t mean he won’t use other souls to accomplish his desires. Why have prophets? Why doesn’t God just speak out himself without human help? Why not get rid of Satan altogether so he wouldn’t have been around to tempt Adam and Eve? Why does Jesus insist we pick up the Cross to be disciples?

Scripture answers questions but it has yet to answer THE questions I have. Only an answer coming directly from God will suffice. A part of being Christian, especially Catholic, is living with mystery. Your attitude is why the Church needs to be rid of the Protestant heresies that have been infecting since the time of Luther.

  15. Ray,
I do read my Catholic Bible and your statements in the article are way off base from the message of Jesus. The Book of Revelation certainly doesn’t support your contentions, nor the Gospels.
I’m not even sure that the CCC of the RCC backs you up on this.

  16. Your article is most disturbing on several issues.
Why does Jesus need the plan of Mary and the archangel Michael to save souls from damnation?
Why does Jesus need to have others suffer for the salvation of souls?
Why do you suggest that victim souls defeat Satan, when he is not vanquished until the return of Jesus Christ?
Suggest that you read the Bible rather than some of the books you choose.
Jesus warned us in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21 about being misled.
And finally, Paul instructed Timothy in 2 Timothy 4 to teach the word – correcting, reproving, appealing – for a time would come when people would not tolerate sound doctrine and wander off to fables.

    1. Because the great cloud of witnesses, the angels and saints, and we here on earth, are his army. You need to read your bible…..because you evidently missed a lot.

    2. The ways of God depend on what God wants! God needs nothing, yet he desires our salvation. It is most difficult to be saved because although Jesus paid the price for sin by dying on the cross, yet God selects assistants to aid in our salvation, The Bible says to Work Out your salvation in fear and trembling. This means we can lose it, We must battles satan , the flesh and temptations. We must participate in the sacramental life of the Church, We must conFess our sins and die with a clean soul. If not we go to purgatory or hell. Jesus has given us angels , Saints, and his Absolutely amazing Mother Mary to steer us with graces and Godly inspirations to keep us or return us to the very very narrow road!
Thanks be to God for all the help you give us also with the church militant who,can pray for us and spur us to our heavenly home

      ,

    3. Robert, you are not here searching for anything but to put forth your perceived Biblical expertise. You would be considered an agitator. The problem is, it reveals your pride and extreme need to be right. Rather than travel around Catholic sites, looking to agitate with your pride, try pondering humility these last days of Advent. The Bible is God’s Word, but you have taken this to the extreme. You need spiritual help. God bless.

  17. I got my walking done at the mall yesterday due to rotten weather, and I counted only 4 of 87 stores that had “Merry Christmas” anywhere noticeable. The most recognizable store wishing me a Merry Christmas was Dillard’s Department Store which has about 282 locations. Another greeting was on the window of Altar’d State (women’s clothing) that is said to have 100 locations. The other 2 stores seem to be local.

But its worse than that because within the other department stores, there are brands set-up for everything from Adidas to Levi, but none of these areas were wishing me a Merry Christmas. They all seem to be falling into line. That seems neither inclusive nor tolerant, doesn’t it?

I think we all need to post more Merry Christmas wishes – preferably with a full color Nativity Scene. It only takes a little paper and scotch tape to spread the Gospel.

    1. A survey of Fortune 500 CEO height revealed that they were on average 6 ft 0 in (1.83 m) tall, which is approximately 2.5 inches (6.4 cm) taller than the average American man. About 30 per cent were 6 ft 2 in (1.88 m) tall or more; in comparison only 3.9 per cent of the overall United States population is of this height.

Perhaps we need to post those Nativity Scenes a little higher up there.
