Is the End Almost Here?

Last month I wrote about the Israeli-Hamas war.  It still concerns me.

I got some confirmation about Hamas when I read that Hamas was fighting to get the Jews pushed into the sea so Hamas and the Palestinians could occupy all the land. What!? Our God would not want us humans to fight for that.  Nor would Jesus Christ want anything against the will of His Father.

God told us in Scripture (Deuteronomy 30:4-5, for instance) that in the end times He will call the Jews back to their ancestral homeland. Anybody who fights against that is a wicked fool. Our mission in life, all of us – Jews, Christians, and Muslims – is to try to make the world ready for submission to Gods will.

Another thing that makes me wonder about the Muslims is that they kneel and bow their heads down to the Earth five times a day as a sign that are submissive to God’s will.  I’m not a fool.  I know God will never accept that kind of hypocrisy from anyone.

The whole world has taken sides on this conflict, and people in many countries demonstrate in favor of both the Israelis and Hamas. Will our wicked world never learn?

This Conflict Could Escalate

Many of the Muslim states seem ready to back up Hamas in spite of the fact that all Muslims should be conformed to the will of God. If they felt compassion for the Palestinians who sorrowfully got compromised by the UN into having this problem with their land, other Muslim states could come to their assistance by offering them land in their own countries.

The Jews have done that for fellow Jews when they were exiled from the land of their birth. Christians have also done that. The United States and many other countries have accepted pilgrims from many downtrodden people.

The whole world is in a perilous state if any nation sides against God’s resolution for this problem. The world might easily erupt into nuclear war.

Iran is a nuclear nation, bristling with provocations against the United States.  Iran has joined in league with Russia and China, who are also in a quarrel with the United State over ownership of land and seas. It’s possible Iran might make retaliatory strikes against the United States and the United States might take action against Iran.  Russia could join in on Iran’s side. China might also join in.   We can see how dangerous this conflict can become.

A War that Ends all Wars

Iran might use nuclear weapons if the United States retaliates. Who knows if anyone else will join in on the dropping of bombs. A nuclear war might generate a huge dust cloud that could become nuclear winter.

Nations choosing nuclear weapons can easily miscalculate the effects of a preemptive nuclear strike. The bomb will certainly destroy the target, but a nuclear bomb generates a huge, high altitude dust cloud that can drift slowly with prevailing winds. Secondary nuclear strikes will add more irradiated dust into the stratosphere. This cloud could be dense enough to diminish sunlight, and it could remain in the sky a long time. The result could be worldwide crop failure. If it is severe enough, and lasts long enough, all crops and livestock on Earth could die.

How Foolish We Are

Why we ever chose to stock nuclear weapons, I will never know. Humans have always been very aggressive and combative due to concupiscence.  Concupiscence is an evil that God wants us to subdue because it foments a rage that results in great damage to a peaceful and devout assembly of humans.

The very first experience with concupiscence was with Cain, the first child of Adam and Eve. He was jealous of his younger brother whose generous sacrifice was pleasing to God. The selfish sacrifice of Cain was not pleasing so Cain fumed with jealousy. God warned Cain about jealousy.

The Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry? Why are you dejected?  If you act rightly, you will be accepted; but if not, sin lies in wait at the door: its urge is for you, yet you can rule over it” (Gen 4:6-7). After that warning, Cain murdered his brother anyway. Sins inspired by concupiscence have plagued the human family ever since.

Happiness in Heaven

In heaven, we will be glorified spirits and we will be one with Christ.  If we make it into heaven I think God will bless us with four outstanding gifts: impassability, subtlety, agility, and clarity

Impassibility means our risen resurrected body will be impassible, meaning the body will be incapable of any kind of physical harm.

Subtlety means our risen bodies will be true bodies, yet we will still have some spirit-like qualities, such as the ability to penetrate objects, like walking on water or through locked doors.

Agility means that our bodies shall be freed from the burden by which it is now pressed down.  We will acquire a capability of moving with the utmost facility and ability whithersoever the soul pleases.

Clarity is a sort of brightness or refulgence redounding to the body from the supreme happiness of the soul.  It is a sort of emanation from the bliss which it enjoys.  Its communication is analogous to the manner in which the soul itself is rendered blessed, which is anticipation of the divine happiness.

How would you like to live within a body that can never be injured or harmed in any way?  How would you like a body that can move with its sprit at the speed of thought?  Imagine a body that can walk on water or  though locked doors, and that shines like the saints indicating their acceptance by God?

God’s Will

These gifts are offered to all of us. All we have to do to qualify for them is to always conform to the will of God and never oppose compliance with His will. Wouldn’t that be a very big encouragement to concur with God’s will?

I think many people would relish having bodies like this, but too many people today are opposed to obeying God. People today parade in our streets with placards calling God a male chauvinist and calling for woman’s rights. Many of our political leaders want the American people have the right to have abortion be a constitutional right of all Americans.

Today people even parade the streets to reverse God’s laws concerning gender identity. What is this country coming to? Why don’t people realize that we must all conform to God’ will. Only His Church has the power to change God’s laws or to explain them. If we make the right to abortion a constitutional right, God may well choose to end this wicked world and judge all of us.

Conclusions

It is time the American people got their collective act together. God did not create us to serve His enemies. He created us as sovereign people with the ability to choose who we want to obey.

The devil cannot overpower us to disobey God. God has given each one of us a guardian angel to protect us from being overpowered by a devil. It’s time that each of us recognize this and insist that our elected politicians respect the God that created all of us and obey His commandments.
