Glorifying God Is Easier Than You Think

How do you glorify God in your life? Unfortunately, many believe it is harder than it really is. During the season of Lent, I created short videos showing how easy it is to bring God’s love to the world each day. I believe it is the same way with glorifying God in our lives.

Your Witness of Love

If I, therefore, the master and teacher, have washed your feet, you ought to wash one another’s feet. I have given you a model to follow, so that as I have done for you, you should also do ( John 13:14-15).

The purpose of our life here on earth is to get to heaven and to love others to Jesus’ Sacred Heart by living The Two Greatest Commandments.

The Two Great Commandments that contain the whole law of God are:

  1. Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with thy whole heart, and with thy whole soul, and with thy whole mind, and with thy whole strength;
  2. Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.

We must live a servant-leadership lifestyle. What does that mean? We must serve others. This means we should try to make life easier for those we come across in our day. To love is to wish the best for someone, we should also pray for those in our lives and in the world who need God’s love.

When we live this way, we give glory to God. People will see that we are kind, generous, and caring for all living things. Our zeal for life and our love of God and our neighbor – even strangers and enemies – will be so opposite of the “me culture” it will be difficult for people not to notice God shining through us.

Trust in God’s Plan

He did not doubt God’s promise in unbelief; rather, he was empowered by faith and gave glory to God (Mark 4:20).

The state of the world is causing many to question God’s plan. To be honest, I have had many a chat with the Lord questioning what is happening myself. However, when I am done with my rant, I repent and ask for more faith.

I took this doubt of God’s plan to confession. The priest told me to pray every day for 9 days (my own little novena) for more faith. He said the saints prayed for more faith all the time and so should we. I not only prayed that as my penance, but I continue to pray this quite often.

How does one glorify God to others through having more faith and trust in His plans? I have a lot going on in my personal life and my husband is not practicing or much of a prayer person or believer. As a result, I try to bring God into our day in the morning and the evening. “Lord, please guide us today and give us more trust in Your plans. Lord, we trust that what needs to get done will get done and that You will take care of everything.”

In the evening, we talk about our day and where we made progress and I always give glory to God for the good and sometimes bad. When I am giving credit to God or offering Him our fear and worries, I am filled with peace. That peace helps my husband with his worries and concerns, the Holy Spirit is definitely in action.

Witness of His Word

Amen, amen, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in my name he will give you (John 13:23).

Do you know the Word of God … The Bible? I did not read The Bible for forty-five years of my life. Boy has that changed. I enjoy sharing the stories and The Gospel in my own words with those who are not familiar with Jesus’ promises.

As a Faith Coach, I help others deepen their relationship with God. When I share the promises of God in a way that makes sense in someone’s life, I am glorifying God through His Word. I highly recommend you sharing some of the stories in The Bible in plain street talk.

When we tie the Gospel in with the person’s present circumstances The Bible becomes the Living Word and should inspire a sense of hope and peace in times of trials. Remember, God did not give us a spirit of fear.

Live Without Fear

Do not be afraid; just have faith (Mark 5:36).

I have heard The Bible says, “Do not be afraid” in some way 365 times. I am not sure that is correct as I have not counted myself. Regardless, the message is clear and one we should never forget. Faith is trust in God. If you trust in God, you will not have fear in any circumstances. As a matter of fact, you will have the opposite effect, you will be filled with peace that surpasses all understanding.

Speaking from personal experience, this is the best way I evangelize and give glory to The Almighty God. My husband is the direct recipient of my efforts to kick fear to the curb. I do my best to coach him to stop the minute he begins to worry and give God his fear. Then he should immediately shift his attention and thank God for all the blessings He gave him.

I wish I could get my husband to pray deliverance prayers when fear and worry comes. Admittedly, I have not introduced them to him. Maybe I should do that? For those of you who are engaged in the daily spiritual battle, do not forget to use the deliverance prayer weapons to cast fear, worry, anxiety to the foot of The Holy Cross. Do not forget to say it out loud, Satan and his minions cannot hear your thoughts.

In the name of Jesus Christ, I bind the spirit of (fear, anxiety, worry) and I command you to go to the foot of The Holy Cross for Jesus to pour His Precious Blood on you and receive your sentence. Oh, Father, please fill me with Your Blessings – fill me with the Spirit of peace, joy, and love.

Let’s be a witness of love and trust in God’s plan. Let’s witness to His Word and live our lives with no fear. When we do these things we have lived our lives glorifying God. It is our duty as disciples to be light in the darkness and cast fear out with trust in God. To live a life of faith requires action on our part. The more we live according to how Jesus asked us to live, the more we will attract people to Him and salvation.

Let’s live each day glorifying God in our actions and our words.

Just so, your light must shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father (Matthew 5:16).

  2. I might stumble through my paraphrase of Scripture on this a bit, but you’ll get the point. Deliverance ministry and it’s related prayers can be quite liberating and powerful for believers, but if that is not your husband then I would strongly caution against it due to the story of the man who had his house swept clean of a demon only to have seven more return and make his condition far worse than it was before. To me, that is a warning against doing deliverance ministry of any kind for anyone who does not have Jesus and the Holy Spirit enthroned on their heart. In Christ, Andrew
