A New Apparition for This Generation

Jesus Christ Himself warned us that God would bring this wicked world to an end and establish a heavenly paradise where all humans ever created could live in love and peace forever, if they would be found worthy. And the wicked, along with the devils, would be confined to everlasting hell. Throughout all of Christian history, people have pondered this and wondered when it would take place.

A Canadian priest, Father Michel Rodrigue, working in the Diocese of Amos, Québec, claims to have had a series of apparitions which are warnings of a sign in the sky encouraging us to repent and an imminent chastisement for those who refuse to repent. (See information about the Apparition.)

This is similar to the way the apparition of Fatima started out. I think everybody today is convinced that Fatima is an authentic apparition, but the bishops of the Church did not believe it in time to make the requested consecration of Russia, and the world did not believe it and took steps of their own that made sure Russia would become the super power that plagued the world for most of the twentieth century. WWII was not averted and Russia was not converted.

In this article I caution my readers not to act rashly regarding Father Rodrigue’s apparition. Neither should they make the same mistake as the previous generation and ignore it. Rather, we must keep an open mind and follow what is good and holy in this apparition, doubting only what seems to be spurious.

The Specifics of the Apparition

Father Rodrigue warned that serious trouble is coming to the world in 2022. He made the mistake of naming a specific date when the trouble will begin, December 8^th 2021. That caused some concern in my mind, but I do see some of the things he warned about last year actually happening today.

Fr. Rodrigue also warned about plagues that will cause massive deaths of humans. We are experiencing the Coronavirus pandemic right now and a new plague. It seems that Covid-19 is not going to leave us any time soon. I am already tired of wearing a face mask. Rodrigue predicts a war, possibly a nuclear war, and true to his prediction, Russia did start a war of conquest with Ukraine on February 24, 2022.

The smoke of Satan has entered into the hierarchy of the Church and is now affecting Catholic teaching and morals. Fr. Rodrigue holds that there will be a soon-to-come political collapse of the governments of the world. God will send a warning where everybody will see a vision in the sky of Jesus on the cross. Every soul will recognize their sins and how God feels about them. Small tongues of fire will appear on people for about fifteen minutes. After these events, God will grant the world six weeks to repent and for every person to make a valid confession and amend their lives.

Then the warning will happen. People are advised to stop watching television because Satan is using television to bring darkness and unbelief to the human race. The New World Order will begin immediately. At the end of the six week period, nuclear war will commence. God will defuse many nuclear bombs but will permit several to detonate within the United States. One third of humanity will perish. These warnings are similar to warnings made at Garabandal and Medjugorje and other recent apparitions that are even discussed through the Marian Movement of Priests.

The antichrist will take his throne within a false church. Many will recognize him as pope. Pope Francis will try to flee Rome but will be killed. Pope Emeritus Benedict will try to convene a council but will be killed. The antichrist will control humans by restricting buying and selling trough “the mark of the beast.”

These are the specific terms of Father’s apparition.

An Earlier Apparition – Fatima

I have been following apparitions for a long time, especially Fatima, which occurred eighteen years before I was born. I have noticed that, no matter how authentic the apparition seems to be, there are always many people who do not believe it. As a child, I believed Fatima. In 1941 Sister Lucia prepared a written record of all three secrets and asked that Pope Pius XII reveal the third secret no later than 1960. I was already married by 1960, and I eagerly awaited the release of the third secret.

The full text of the third secret was finally published forty years later on June 26, 2000 revealing hints of a scandal within the Church and a prediction of an attempted murder of the Pope. What a long time to withhold information revealed by Blessed Mother to Sister Lucia!

Since 1960 the Church has undergone cataclysmic difficulties, especially with unchaste clergy. But there are many other problems with deviations from sound doctrine and the effects of radical feminism and transgenderism contradicting the authentic teaching of the Church. We don’t need to speculate anymore about the third secret. These egregious problems facing the Church are now visible to all.

The Third Secret of Fatima

Had the third secret been revealed prior to 1960, perhaps the Church could have inaugurated preventive measures to protect the Church from the coming difficulties. But the requested consecration of Russia was not made in time to prevent World War II. In my mature years, I thought Pope Pius XII could not find a sufficient number of bishops willing to travel to Rome to make the consecration. I think their failure to believe the children forever squandered the opportunity for Russia to be miraculously converted. Imagine how improved the world would be today if Russia had been converted.

When God makes a promise, He desires faith from His listeners to encourage Him to fulfill it. A similar thing happened during the Fatima apparition in August of 1917. The governor of the region of Fatima kidnapped the three children and put them in prison so they could not meet Blessed Mother as they promised. The Blessed Mother told the children that God would punish the unbelievers with the promised miracle not being as spectacular as God originally planned.

Sad! The failure of the bishops to convene to make the consecration meant that Russia was not converted. A miraculous conversion like the one which occurred in Mexico after the appearance of Our Lady of Guadalupe in 1531 converted more than eight million inhabitants of Mexico. The hostile action of the governor of Fatima resulted in the absence of a spectacular miracle that would have convinced the whole world to pay attention. In the absence of incontrovertible proof, the unbelieving world stumbled into allowing the rise of communism in Russia and all the evils that have resulted from that.

The Miracle of the Sun

Seventy thousand people waited most of the night to witness the miracle on October 13, 1917. It rained all night and during the day before the miracle. It was still raining when the miracle started. The people milled about on the muddy surface of the ground for hours stirring up a muddy mess, but all of that water was gone after the miracle of the sun.

An all-night rain storm covering an area of that size could easily have deposited at least a million gallons of water that would have remained on the ground since there were no sewers on the farm. Critics of the miracle don’t realize that it would take a nuclear bomb to evaporate that much water in ten minutes’ time.

The unbelieving world pretended that the appearance of the sun dancing in the sky was mass hallucination. Many also dismissed the drying of the mud, but this was a more believable miracle than seeing the sun dance: there were no after-effects of the sun dancing, but the dry soil remained dry until the next rain (Mud Dries Up).

The International Situation

At the time of the Fatima apparitions, future Soviet dictator, Vladimir Lenin, was in a Swiss prison. He had been there for several years. He sent a message to the Germans saying that if they would get him into Petrograd, he would do all he could to get Russia out of World War I. The Germans agreed to smuggle Lenin out of prison and finance him with millions of dollars to start his revolution. The Bolsheviks then staged a coup against the moderate White Russians, and that’s how the Red Russians wound up in control of the government.

On June 18, 1918, Britain, France, and the United States sent troops into Russia to intervene against the Bolshevik army in the hopes that defeating them might allow the White Russians to win back control of the Russian government and resume its part in the war against Germany. It was a half‑hearted attempt by the Allies, and they pulled out shortly after the signing of the Armistice.  Note that in the November 25^th elections of 1917, the Bolsheviks had been heavily defeated. The year 1918 marked the beginning of a two-year civil war between the Bolsheviks and non-Bolshevik Russians.

On November 11, 1918, the Armistice was signed. The Americans, French, and British withdrew their troops from Russia before accomplishing anything other than solidifying the Russian people behind the Bolshevik government that got the Russians out of the war in the first place. Thus the European allies, instead of heeding the requests of Fatima, actually carried out foreign policy decisions that helped consolidate the Bolsheviks in power (Invasion). The Soviet Union eventually absorbed thirty-four nations into their communist empire.

(See Revelation: Mature Look on Amazon.)  It is interesting to note that subsequent apparitions such as Garabandal in Spain (early ’60s) and Medjugorje (starting in 1982), like Father Rodrigue’s apparition, included messages about a sign in the sky. The apparitions in Akita, Japan (1973-84) had fierce messages about the coming chastisement.

Conclusion

By the time this essay reaches print, we will already realize that our government has made political decisions about the Russian invasion of Ukraine that we may regret for a very long time. How wicked has the world become that one man’s ambition can disrupt the peace in the world with a brutal war that could kill and maim tens of thousands. I think we Catholics should pay attention to Father Rodrigue’s apparition. Besides the war in Ukraine, China is also making war moves in the South China Sea.

Our government is adamant that they will not stop abortion. They also are forging ahead on transgenderism, the New World Order, and many other social programs that are clearly in violation of God’s teaching. Nations are at each other’s throats especially in the South China Sea, in the Near East, and in Eastern Europe. There is actual war or serious danger of war in all these areas.

We are not asked to travel to Rome to consecrate a country to the Blessed Mother like when Fatima was announced. Not enough Catholic bishops believed the apparition in time to make the consecration, and the wicked world not only dismissed the apparition but meddled in it and made things worse. All we are asked to do is pray and be alert.

My advice is: do not dismiss this apparition like our parents’ generation of leaders dismissed Fatima. Instead, be alert, be zealous in your faith in God, avoid sin, get your soul in order, pray a lot, and hope for the best.
