A House Divided Will Not Stand

Last Judgment, punishment

I have always been uneasy about the progressive left in our country. They are firm in their obstinate refusal to heed God’s command that we should not kill and in their denial of marriage between a man and a woman as the foundation upon which God constructs a nation. Their defiance of God’s law bothers me very much, and I don’t want to see our entire nation enter into that same rebellion.

Through the years, I have seen our government become more and more defiant of God. Ever since the Clinton administration, when I first became aware of the bias against our Christian roots, I have always followed our Lord’s advice to pray for our enemies.

I am amazed that after twenty-one years effort on my part and longer periods of time on the part of other concerned Americans, the wickedness of America continues to get worse. At one time I thought that America would betray the faith of our fathers and that God would withdraw His blessing from America. As the years go by, it gets more and more probable that God is going to do exactly that.

Flash Back to a Different Era

As a youth, when I studied history in grade school, I was impressed when I was introduced to the subject of the Holy Roman Empire. I thought it was marvelous that around fifteen nations, after their conversion to Catholicism, combined themselves into an empire of like-thinking nations eager to bring Christ’s peace to their own peoples and to other nations.

At that time, I was already interested in other languages and started to study Latin and German in my first year of high school. I was fascinated with England, Germany, France, and Spain, each nation with its own language, customs, and culture, but all united in their faith in Jesus Christ. I presumed all were eager to love God and serve Him obediently. What a wonderful world that would have been.

I was only twelve or thirteen at the time when I learned about the pirates plowing the seas. I had the thought: “It is written you shall not steal, but I tell you: you shall not steal from the English, but you may steal from the French and the Spanish.” I then learned about Henry VIII’s revolt against the Catholic Church, and I was filled with a disappointment against England that has never left me, even though I love the English people.

It was bad enough that these Christian nations robbed each other’s commerce; but, when the European nations began establishing Christian colonies overseas, they robbed each other’s colonies also. Instead of bringing peace and harmony to the world, they brought the devil’s influence of jealousies, strife, war and slavery.

I never lost my disappointment for the wickedness of the European nations, and now, in my ninetieth year, I cannot refrain from voicing my contempt for those nations who showed little, or at best, only minimal fidelity toward God and His Son and His Church.

A group of individual sovereign nations united as a Christian empire dedicated with love for God and neighbor could have evangelized the entire world. This could have been accomplished at a time when the printing press had been invented; but, because of their selfishness and greed, those nations lost an enormous opportunity for evangelizing the entire world. Their scandalous conduct so thoroughly contradicted the faith that the printing press not only printed the correct revelation but also hundreds of contradictions of it.

Failure to Evangelize the Whole World

Of the 7.9 billion humans in the world today, fully one half are not even influenced by Christ. Of the 2.2 billion Christians of all denominations in the world, only 1.2 billion consider themselves Roman Catholic. I wonder how many of that number actively try to lead righteous lives. What a poor harvest for 2000 years of evangelization. I think the Father is not pleased with the zeal of His people.

England, Spain, and France could have been a nucleus for other Christian nations in evangelizing the world. They could have established three areas of evangelization into Mexico, Canada, and the United States to cooperate with each other and eventually form a nucleus of Christian nations intent on serving Jesus Christ to bring His influence to all of the New World.

But England had already broken away from the mother Church, and during the colonial period there was too much rivalry and conflict between the colonies and the sponsoring countries. Had they cooperated with each other, they could have formed a coalition that could have thwarted the Masonic and Marxist menaces that trouble North and South America today.

I always liked the idea of the Holy Roman Empire, nations united under the banner of Christ. It could have done wonders for Europe. A similar coalition for Mexico, Canada, and the United States could have done wonders in the New World. It looks like the influence of Satan upsets everything the Lord would like in evangelization every time, and we humans have to suffer the consequences.

Return to Modern Times

We in the United States are now facing a struggle that finally shows the weaknesses of democracy. If we, that is, all Americans, do not pay attention, we could choose leaders who will destroy our democracy. And if we get into another big war at the same time, and if any warring nation tries to rely on nuclear weapons, that war can destroy all human life on earth. And we, all of us, even those who died before us, would have to endure the Final Judgment. Both sides in this political struggle have resorted to vilifying their political enemies to such an egregious extent that the average American does not know what to believe or to doubt.

The first thing Joe Biden did after being elected was to rescind most of the laws Donald Trump initiated, such as finishing the work on the Keystone pipeline and securing our borders. Immediately after that, Biden rescinded Trump’s immigration laws and invited caravans of immigrants to come again into America. Two hundred thousand arrived within two months. They were welcomed by the Biden administration and will no doubt be guaranteed a path to citizenship. And they came, and they continue to come! And now we have a crisis on our southern border, the likes of which we’ve never seen.

God’s Possible Coming Chastisement

Is this the time that God is going to punish America for its defiance of His laws? We have a disaster along our southern border that no longer can be easily remedied. Thousands of immigrants came, including many underage teenagers unaccompanied by their parents. None of these immigrants brought sufficient clothing or food supplies with them. They need shelters, medical care, and gainful employment.

The Biden administration did not provide for any of this. I can’t believe a professional politician could have made such a blunder. How can they correct this failure? They should have realized beforehand what problems might arise from such a massive inflow. They should have provided beforehand what common sense knew what provisions would be needed. They can’t send the immigrants back. They have no housing. They can’t find jobs for themselves other than replacing Americans who need gainful employment. Providing healthcare for them will probably bankrupt our medical services, etc.

More Wickedness

It’s bad enough that many countries world-wide are defying God’s commandment: You shall not kill. Some countries have succeeded in crossing humans with monkeys. I recently came across a startling news story: Scientists in America have teamed up with scientists in China and elsewhere to do exactly that.

The researchers injected 25 cells known as induced pluripotent stem cells (iPS) from humans into embryos of macaque monkeys, which are much more closely related to humans than are sheep and pigs. After one day, the researchers reported, they were able to detect the human cells growing in 132 of the embryos, and they were able study the embryos for 19 days. Then the embryos were destroyed because of current laws regulating stem cell research.

I don’t know why some countries permit their scientists to do what we all know nobody should ever do. Even our literature is full of horror stories like Dr. Frankenstein who constructed a human organism out of parts from cadavers and brought it to life using electricity. He created a monster that has frightened many generations of people. The story was only fiction as those who applaud it are quick to point out, but these current hybrids produced through stem cell grafting are not fiction.  Will they be animals grafted with human intelligence or humans lost in the animal world? Does God really want them created? Will they become hostile because God did not create them?

I would like to point out a couple important verses in Scripture:

The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever. So the Lord God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken. After He drove the man out, He placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life. (Genesis 3:22-34)

Why do American scientists pursue such outrageous experimentation with human development? I don’t think God wants humans to interfere with His prerogative of designing and creating human life. If He does not want humans to interfere in this field, He has the option of ending the world before human scientists produce more monsters. God can then bring all humans, obedient and wicked, those still alive on earth as well as those previously deceased, plus all angels, good and evil, to the Final Judgement. God already predicted that someday He would end the world. We should not do anything that will accelerate that day.

Conclusion

The Biden administration has shown itself too inept to plan for large scale objectives like immigration. We were much better off under the previous administration when they were smart enough to foresee the problems and take steps to minimize any adverse repercussions caused by them.

Add to that the international problems we have with nations that are pushing for wars of conquest. And add to that the provocations of some nations in pursuing wicked experimentation in defiance of God, and to that our own blindness in voting for political leaders that approve such endeavors. We should be very careful who we vote into power to govern our country.

I wonder how things will work out for us during the coming years. Now, more so than ever before, we need God to favor us and help us find our way through our problems. But if we have crossed the line in offending God so massively and universally, we no longer deserve His help, and we will flounder, and we might experience the end of this present world ourselves.

May God help us all.

  1. Hello Kyle,

Thank you for your further comments on my article. I’m going to focus on one statement in your comments. “The problem with the Church rule everything is that members of the church can’t even agree on what is wrong or right.” It sounds like you do not know what the church in. The church is not some country-club type organization that is ruled by democratic principles. The Church is actually God’s physical presence on Earth whereby he dwells within us who believe the Gospel and live according to His teaching. God offers us through the Church a way of salvation that can get us into heaven.

Everybody knows God maintained a physical presence on Earth within The temple. Sometimes His presence was displayed by a small cloud of smoke or flame hovering above the Tabernacle box. Even pagan kings near Israel were aware of the presence of God in the Israelite Temple.

The Babylonian King had conquered Israel and took the Israelites into captivity. One evening he held a banquet for his friends and dared to use the sacred vessels that were for Temple use only. A hand appeared and wrote on the wall: Mene, Mene, Tekle, Upharsin, which means You have been measured and found wanting. While the king was being told what the writing meant, Darius the Mede entered the hall from a subterranean water way and conquered Babylon. See Daniel chap 5 for the whole revelation.

The Temple was destroyed in the first war against Rome after the crucifixion. So where does God maintain a physical presence now? He maintains it within The Mystical Body of Christ. Look it up in The Internet.

The Catholic Church is a mixture of sincere Catholics who are in the State of Grace mixed in with others who are not in the State of Grace because they are spiritually dead in the eyes of God because of sins they willfully commit. They can be forgiven if they repent and confess their sin, but if they choose not to, they remain spiritually dead. Christ revealed what will happen to the spiritually dead

“I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit (John.15: 3). If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. (John 15:6).”

I am saddened by the conflict within the Church, but God permits it. This is where the defeat of Satan will occur. Since the Church really is Jesus Christ and God has given us a share in Jesus, there is no way that Satan can defeat the Church. It looked like he defeated Christ when Christ was abandoned by everyone and left alone to fight the good fight, but at the last moment, when He was dying, He confronted Satan and condemned him.
Catholics are encouraged to display mercy and reveal the truth to anyone that confronts them. The Church has elaborated this approach into the corporal works of mercy and the spiritual works of mercy. These are the many ways we can show mercy to others and help them find salvation as well. One spiritual work of mercy is to admonish the sinner, That’s where you and I come in.

I should not argue with you or threaten you, but I must try to tell you the truth. You are refusing to believe what God has revealed. It’s not my opinion, It’s God’s opinion. We all should at least believe God’s opinion.

You mention the German Synod. I see from The Internet that the pope and all the German bishops do not want the Synod to result in human opinion to replace God’s opinion in regulation the Church. That’s how heresies are born.
    I hope this helps.

    Sincerely,

    Maurice A. Williams

    1. Hi Maurice,

Thanks for the response. I think the biggest area that we disagree on is the level of democracy in the church. The church is a mixture of monarchy and democracy. Currently it’s more monarchy, but in the distant past it was probably more democracy. All of the great councils of the past were forums where church leaders of the time debated the issues of the day. One side eventually won their disagreements. At our best, we’re a pilgrim church striving to decipher and live according to God’s will. At our worst, we’re a church attempting to control and manipulate the members for the power and prestige of those at the top. God didn’t give us a detailed rulebook (aka Catechism). He gave us simple commands to love God and love one another. It is up to us to figure out how to apply those principles. The catechism should be our best effort at applying those principles, but there has always been and should continue to be debate about how those rules are set. This is why the catechism receives updates. The church has changed throughout its history, and will continue to change. To pretend otherwise is to ignore our history and to stop trying to actively do God’s will.

I hope this helps explain my position a little better.

      Thanks,
      Kyle

  3. Thank you for the feedback to my comment. I will have to check out YouTube. Is there any particular channel I should look for? How about on Rumble?

I want to clarify that I did not state I received “divine” inspiration. I just described an incident as it actually happened. I mediate and wonder about it still. What I meditated on regarding the thought/inspiration that came from it was my own thinking. I do not know for certain either way, but I am always prudent to never claim I received a “prophecy/inspiration” as it is never certain.

    1. Hello LIsa.

I just checked YouTube on my cell phone, a couple hours ago. Its all there, even more than I have been seeing in the past several weeks.

I’m glad you don’t presume that you are having revelations from God. I. just like you, think God is guiding me, but we both know better than to claim divine guidance. But I try to make sure, when I advise other people, that I am really saying what I think someone who believes in God would be thinking.

      Thanks for the comments

      Sincerely,

  4. The perspective in this article is sorely lacking. There is too much to unpack to go point by point, but for example, in chiding the Biden administration, does the author believe immigrants had food, shelter, and clothing where they were coming from? Or regarding history, that the European states that comprised the Holy Roman Empire were actually holy rather than acting based on power and their own political goals?

This piece should’ve never been published based on its misrepresentations of history alone, but it definitely shouldn’t have been published given the veiled political threats that were the core of the piece. God will destroy all of us because of the liberals? And because we allowed immigrants in? And the solution is a catholic nation-state? There can be an argument made for a Catholic nation-state. I would disagree with it, but that argument can be made without the threats and disparagements in this article. It was disappointing.

    1. Hello Kyle

Thank you for reading my article. And thank you for your comments.

I know that the immigrants do not have food, shelter, and clothing where they came from. My point is they do not have food, shelter and clothing when they arrive here. Who is going to provide what they need and how quickly? Since they don’t have it now, they need it immediately. Surely, you are not so naïve to think that what they need is suddenly going to pop up. The American people have to provide what they need. One million have come into this country already. Did you provide any of it? Did you pay for any of it? Actually, all Americans will pay for it. It comes out of our taxes

The people who started The Holy Roman Empire wanted it to be holy. I suppose people today want their countries to be holy as well, but we all know all countries fall far short of being holy, our country also. But I am not responsible for the holiness of my country, only for my personal holiness. I think every soldier that went to war to combat un-holiness elsewhere in the world wanted his country to be holy, just as I’m sure he wanted holiness as his mantle when he agreed to go overseas. I don’t think many American soldiers went to war to augment his own power and political goals.

God will destroy the world because human beings refuse to love Him and obey Him as He commands all of us to do. It is a threat, of course, but I didn’t make the threat. God made it, Jesus affirmed it. Even the Apostles affirmed it. The Bible is filled with a recounting of these threats.

Arguing against the Good God who warned us what our evil intentions will harvest for us is not the way to make peace with God.

My advice to all of us, myself included, is to pay heed to the Lord, repent and show your contrition and expect unimaginable happiness with God in heaven.

      Maurice A. Williams

    2. Hi Maurice,

Thanks for the response. Regarding immigrants, I am paying for them both through donations and through taxes. As a country with a vast amount of wealth comparable to other nations, I do believe we have a collective obligation to offer a reasonable level of assistance to those in most need. My state sent state troopers to Texas recently to help patrol the border. The estimated cost for a couple of weeks to send around 20 or 30 troopers is well over $300k. They say the actual amount will definitely be higher than this initial estimate. That was a political stunt, and we paid for it. But just think how much $300k+ can buy in terms of supplying the poorest among us with the very basics. So to answer the question more directly, I want a portion of my tax dollars to go toward supporting some of these immigrants/asylum seekers. I believe it is our Christian duty.

And the Holy Roman Empire was started for power. Maybe some of them wanted it to be holy as a nice side benefit, but it was started to fill the political vacuum left by the collapse of the Roman Empire. And their version of Christian values was very much different than what Christ himself taught. The Holy Roman Empire launched the Crusades which were pretty clearly against Christian principles. Jesus did not come to earth as a conquering king for a reason. He was setting an example, and the Holy Roman Empire didn’t even try to live up to that example. The same could be said about aspects of the church today.

The problem with having the church rule everything is that members of the church can’t even agree on what is wrong or right. I think it is pretty clear that you and I have different ideas of what it means to love God and follows his laws. And the US bishops have a very different idea than the rest of the bishops, especially as opposed to the German bishops for example. People truly doing their best to follow God’s will can come to very different conclusions. To pretend that anyone supporting “liberal” issues like homosexual marriage or female ordination is anti-God is very dangerous. Threatening them with the wrath of God is also very dangerous. As we all believe, a mortal sin takes 3 things to occur and one of them is the knowledge that what is being done is wrong. If they don’t believe that what they’re doing is wrong, it is not a sin. I think it would be helpful to remember this as the church debates its future and moves forward. Always remember that the Church’s interpretation of the bible has changed over time. We learned that God did not actually create the earth in 7 days and we learned that pork is ok to eat. The interpretation of the Bible can and does change over time. God has not stopped revealing things to us.

    3. Hi Peter,

I actually have had a number of comments “cancelled”. You just haven’t seen those. My issue is that I believe they were cancelled for attacking a point of view, which is something I’ve seen done in many articles on this site. This is a perfect example of an article that attacks a group of people but was still posted. It does seem like a double-standard is in play.

And also, I am fine with differing viewpoints, but facts should be correct. After reviewing this piece again, technically most things were presented as opinions. The motivations of the founders of the Holy Roman Empire are technically an opinion, even though no historian would agree with this assessment. I still think printing this portrayal is irresponsible, but it is technically an opinion however egregious.

And if I had any belief that a piece on the German Synodal Way would be published, I would write it. I just have zero faith that a piece in support of those bishops would ever be published based on my comments that have been deleted in the past.

I hope this helps. I still think publishing this piece was irresponsible, but it is not as egregious as I originally thought after the first read-through. I think the attacking way in which is started out probably clouded my judgement.

  5. Yes, science is very dangerous when it comes to ‘playing around’ with DNA. How soon will our laws of experimenting restrictions be ignored or over-ruled by greed and quest for impossible human perfection. (Even with current technology, so many imperfect lives (down-syndrome, etc.,) are killed in the womb. I liked your Genesis quote: The visualization/imagery of this scene if powerful.
Imagined if we built better facilities to prepare for immigrants all these years past. But would a budget have been accepted/approved under Obama . And Steve Miller was definitely against it.

    1. Hello Glenn Slaby,

Thank you for reading my article. Thanks for the comments. I also worry about scientists ignoring government restriction against stem cell research. We have a long history of scientists ignoring these restrictions, and we have been plagued with fire ants, African killer bees that I can think of off the top of my hat, I have a sick feeling that the Wuhan pandemic is going to be the same.

I’m not against immigration. I know some very righteous people persecuted in their own countries will be a big bonus if they came here. But I am against taking them all in without any screening. Even if they were all of good character, they would soon overwhelm our medical system and our schools. There has been 1,000,000 let in already in half a year. We are going to be swamped. I liked Trump’s policy. It made our country safe haven for persecuted people, and It would nod cause our system to crash.

The Keystone pipeline could have brought plenty of cash into our country that could have helped fund the needs of financing such heavy immigration.

  6. I like you dream of Catholic Parishes taking/adopting a Catholic family. But the cost is too high most. I also believe the Church will be, must be invigorated from Catholics coming over the southern border. Do you know of any groups helping now? They need to be known. Let me know. Thanks.

    1. Hello Glenn Slaby

Thank you for you comment about accepting immigrants. I don know if I wrote about this in my article, but my parish has accepted an immigrant family several years ago and set them up and helped get them established. It was a good Christian thing to do and I applaud it.

      Sincerely,

    2. The Arizona FORENSIC audit shows fraud on a massive scale…WITH EVIDENCE. The Georgia FORENSIC audit has also shown significant fraud in votes…WITH EVIDENCE. The ballots have been unsealed. It is a shame the media…propaganda outlets for the Democrats…neglect to report actual findings

  7. Standing before a stature of the Virgin Mary praying shortly after Justice Ginsberg died, I had a sudden insight…President Trump was going to lose the election. I did not understand this as he clearly appeared to be leading and Mr. Biden always appeared…when he appeared…to be confused. The insight I had was clear and sudden…President Trump was going to lose and his work was completed. In 2016, he won against all odds and was stridently opposed on many sides. The devilish efforts of the media, political operatives, elected officials, tech giants, once trusted institutions of the United States (FBI, DOJ, CIA, NSA, State Department….) were exposed and the trust the American people had in them diminished. Trump supported religious freedom, worked to protect the unborn through strong appointments in the Judicial System, and supported families by supporting the growth of jobs, and creating a barrier at the southern border so that criminal cartels did not run our borders. He did all this while sustaining the most vicious attacks and wild..and without evidence…claims of being in “Putin’s Pocket”. He was lied about, smeared and anyone who supported him was equally vilified. The media claims it was Trump who was divisive. In reality, it was the media that was divisive. The crescendo of their efforts peaked during all the “peaceful protests” during the summer of 2020. As the audits continue and the actual evidence continues to show massive fraud, I wondered why this was allowed to happen. I believe the Catholic Church will be invigorated by the faith of those coming from the Southern Hemisphere. Vocations and faith are thriving there. If one wanted to look at how our Catholic Church, one way would be by the injection of many of these Catholics coming across our southern border. Perhaps, many have been waiting legally for years to come across. After seeing the massive influx of people…of those who had not formally filed their paperwork…were being encouraged and welcomed in by the Biden Administration….they decided to come, too. Sadly, this mass immigration has become a human tragedy. Cartels run our border and children are dying. I realize there is a pandemic and when Trump was President he had to protect the citizens of the United States. Yet, I think immigration was his blind spot. Before the pandemic, the United States could have been more generous to those trying to flee the devastating impact of communism in Venezuela and Cuba. The unrest in Haiti is heartbreaking. These are the poor, but they offer their faith in GOD, almost zero confusion of gender identity, and a strong support of the unborn. America need these riches above all else. The gifts of the poor are the sometimes the most precious. My dream is that every Catholic Parish in the United States would take a family…an entire family with children….who are CATHOLIC and sponsor them in their Parish. It is important to keep their children in the Catholic schools to avoid the harsh indoctrination of the public schools against Christian living. It is a dream and one I pray for as it would me a gift to the Catholic Church while offering charity to a Catholic family.

    1. Hello Lisa White

Thank you for reading my article and thanks for the comments. You gave me a lot of topics to think about.

I think we all get inspirations we think came from heaven, but we are so venerable to temptation from the Devil that I treat my inspirations very carefully. I too was surprise that Trump lost the election. Many Americans were surprised. I don’t know if you realize this but there is a behind-the-scenes effort by a group of politicians and high ranking Army personnel to have our courts investigate the election results and, if fraud is uncovered, have a military tribunal arrest and try the culprits. I would be very careful about claiming divine guidance to my thoughts if I were you until I saw a lot of confirmation that that is really happening.

It’s surprising to me because the progress these people have made is very visible on YouTube, but there is no confirmation of it from the secular press. No confirmation from the secular press is a big red flag to me. This may be fake news this time generated by conservatives. Troublesome! If fake news is broadcast by both the progressives and the conservatives, our democracy is in big trouble. The average American no longer has access to the truth. How can a democracy flourish if the average voter no longer knows the truth?

Trump did support religious freedom, and he supported traditional Christian religious practices. And I support his views on legal immigration. Many immigrants come from Catholic countries that are now mistreating their Catholic citizens. But today there are many persons of no faith in all countries. And some of them are into criminal activities. It would not help us if we brought them into our country. They would most likely overburden our police forces and our prisons, which cost a lot more to operate than most people think.

I would advise you to watch YouTube. At least you would hear of righteous people who want to set out country of the right path. And If there is any merit to their behind-the-scenes struggle, we should see that come out into the open this fall

So my advice is pray for our country. There are many people in our country who want to do the right thing. May God intervene and let righteousness prevail in our hearts and our country.

      Maurice A. Williams

Counting the Flood that would put God at 0 for 2

    1. Hello Ordinary Papist,

Thank you for reading my article and for commenting on it. It is true that God had already ended the human race during the flood. Only the family of Noah survived because God wanted to give the human race a second chance. God did give warning, but the human race ignored Him. They kept right on offending Him until the flood waters started. And then it was too late.

I don’t know why anyone would cite that first flood against God. He gave a much longer warning about the second ending of the world. Jesus Himself gave the warning. The world, not just wicked mankind, the world will end in a roar. See Luke4-19 and many other warnings during His lifetime. Men will not believe him, so God will end the world and construct a new world, where the wicked are separated from the righteous. If God, Himself, predicted this, why would anybody refuse to believe it?
