For years, pro life groups have organized Christmas caroling outside abortion centers. The unexpected, peaceful singing of beautiful songs has elicited so many reactions since the Pro Life Action League started the tradition over twenty years ago.
This year in Wisconsin, the Christmas singing seemed to touch some hearts. “Something happened this year at our annual Christmas Caroling to an Empty Manger Day event that has never happened before,” shared Dan Miller, State Director for Pro Life Wisconsin.
As the group was singing outside Affiliated Medical Services in Milwaukee, one of the abortion escorts (the workers who walk women into the abortion center) surprisingly asked if she could have a copy of the songbook.
“So I gave her one. Since many of the escorts seemed like they were enjoying our Christmas caroling, I decided to offer a songbook to all of them.” A few were tapping their feet or singing along with the carolers. Some took the song books, some didn’t.
“You could see that some really wanted to sing along with us, but it looked like they were waiting for “permission” from their eldest leader, *Suzie. Sadly, Suzie was not in a singing mood that day and did not give “the nod” for the rest to join in. Some sang anyway!”
Sidewalk counselors were busy trying to talk to the moms and dads heading into or coming out of the abortion center as the singing continued.
It wasn’t too long after we started singing that a mom told one sidewalk counselor that she, “decided against the abortion.”
This woman had been seen parking and entering the abortion center, and was inside for about an hour. Yet here she was, apparently having changed her mind, and letting pro life witnesses know!
“Praise the Lord! It was really surreal to witness all of this, as you might imagine,” Miller added.
What came to his mind that day outside the abortion center with escorts joining in caroling was a, ”story from the front lines on Christmas Eve in World War I, when the soldiers stopped shooting at each other for a time as they joined together to sing Christmas carols! I thought of what it must have been like to be on the front lines of a world war, singing with my enemies for a time, coming together as Christians to sing about the birth of our Savior. Our war in defense of human life is a spiritual war, yet both sides on Saturday had a heart for Christ and the season of Christmas.”
Praying in front of an abortion center truly is the front lines, and we never know how hearts may be touched.
This year Christmas caroling took place in at least 16 states, with more local groups joining in each year.

Rachel’s Vineyard: Former Planned Parenthood worker Patricia Sandoval and as she makes it clear in her book “Transfigured”, she worked in the backroom where the more unmentionable, the more dire things happened at PP. I don’t think she did that for more than a few months. Too, from her experiences, a friend recommended she go to a Rachel’s Vineyard retreat for those women who suffer guilt or whatever you might have after an abortion. Patricia says she signed up but there was a waiting list. Anyway, she did finally get in and did say how the 2 day retreat was held was a healing experience. I did not know much about Rachel’s Vineyard, so, I researched it online and the local chapter here is offering a retreat soon and … it had a waiting list! This little story tells me something and.. for some of the things said here, it seems a reality check is needed rather than what some comments state. So, see for yourself, check your local Rachel’s Vineyard. I was amazed at what I found.
Please stop harassing medical providers and patients. Your prayers will do more good in private as Jesus told us.

Some people may protest and indeed harass, that’s not everyone.
Does this mean you won’t be at the next March for Life?
“You do you” when it comes to doing good. We all have different gifts and different ministries. If some can only sing, that’s great!
How lovely if all the protestors had instead earnestly begged to adopt the babies and more importantly the mothers. More than any carol.
Indeed. It’s cheap and easy to ostentatiously pray in public (something Jesus condemned) and grandstand. It’s hard to make actual sacrifices.
States like Texas, Mississippi have set aside large funds to take care of mothers in need and surely, move it through the adoption process also if needed.
Radiance Foundation with Ryan Bomberger are an organization that promotes adoption, Ryan himself was the product of rape and adoption. As the Radiance Foundation states “there is a myth the abortion industry promotes to justify the slaughter of innocent human life – unplanned life equals unwanted equals to unwanted”
“Protesters”? Excuse us, when the article mentions Dan Miller, these carolers, prayer partners and sidewalk counselors have saved babies. This is not just some idle talk. Search for it, we are talking about lives saved through Caroling.
And CaptCrisis, it is cheap to grandstand and recycle ’70s and ’80s feminist tomes, pretty much thoroughly refuted. And again, I would challenge anyone to witness an abortion facility, abortions are carried out disproportionately against people of color. Yes, I am sure, more outdated reasoning can be brought out such as they are poor.
This is part of the Christmas story, the slaughter of innocents under King Herod. A big part of the story. Why not sing carols?

Today the news carried the horrific story if a one month old baby abandoned by the highway median in Colorado dress only in a diaper in near freezing temperatures. Rescued when a passer by called the cops. They should be charged with attempted murder. Many people want to adopt and cannot. We adopted our two sons. One is a paramedic who has saved lives. We dont know who our children will turn out to be , but God does. Bravo to those who sang the Christmas carols and made a difference.
I am so glad that this article was posted. Yes, I have done such caroling. I know of one organization, they did it on December 14th this year, that is like 2 Saturdays ago. It’s not even too late to do it this year now that this article mentions it. Also, I am glad to see something about the pro-life action league. Some folks excel in this area, I am so-so at it as a male. I believe I recognize the name Dan Miller, big guy, right? Well-known.
This young woman never gives up to protect the human unborn. Patty I know is one of those FAITHFUL WARRIORS who whenever she can write, do or say things on their behalf. She is a friend to the Mom & the unborn child. She carries the infant Jesus in her heart ♥️ & tries always to do what she thinks Christ would want from her.
