Divine Mercy Devotional

Throughout my Catholic faith journey since my conversion in 1996 one thing has become increasingly aware to me. Divine Mercy is needed now more than ever. Saint Faustina Kowalska’s Diary has become a source of consolation for many in our troubled times. It’s depth and beauty has made it  a cornerstone on many readers’ libraries. If you are new or unfamiliar to the Diary than a recent release may be just in order. Susan Tassone has authored Jesus Speaks to Faustina and You and it’s a great spring board to the Diary itself.

Susan has compiled this wonderful book as a 365 day reader. Each day she explores a different snippet from the Diary of Saint Faustina. She includes the quote and the diary reference to lead off the day. This is followed by Reflection and Prayer that leads one deeper into that days message.

In addition to these daily meditations Susan has include six Appendices that are equally as important to make note of.

Appendix A compiles quotes of promises of Divine Mercy as revealed to Saint Faustina

Appendix B has the Divine Mercy Chaplet

Appendix C contains promises of the special graces to those devoted to the chaplet

Appendix D has a novena to the Divine Mercy for the conversion of the world

Appendix E lists indulgences

Appendix F is a list of moveable feasts

If you are looking for a great jumping point on which to learn about and establish a devotion to the Divine Mercy message in your life than this book is an excellent choice. Susan Tassone has written yet another gem in her long list of fantastic books. Highly recommended!
