10 Ways to Bring God’s Love to the World

Jesus Christ, Love, Sacred Heart

If we all did small acts of love for those in our family, community, and workplace we could change the world. If we choose to answer the call to be servant leaders and disciples, we could bring the light of God to people in the darkness.

God Needs Our Help

God works through us here on earth. We are the conduit for others to encounter Jesus. Our primary role is to surrender to God’s Will and love thy neighbor as ourselves. We must be rooted in prayer and must live in the Spirit of God so He can move us and work through us.

This means we must be open to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. If you feel the Spirit nudge you to go ask someone if you can pray for them then we must be docile and do what the Spirit asks of us. Too often we allow fear to creep in and squash God’s love.

Let’s remember that we will never know our impact on that person’s life, but our outreach could be the seed that person needs to turn toward God. Who are we to decide to withhold God’s love? If we approach that person with love and joy, we have done our duty as His faithful servant.

For God is the one who, for his good purpose, works in you both to desire and to work. Do everything without grumbling or questioning (Phil 2:13-14).

We Over Complicate It

Sometimes we overthink evangelization and overcomplicate it. We try to overanalyze what we will say or do, therefore shutting down the authentic way in which the Spirit can move through us.

If we remember it is about the authentic love of God for His children, how can we go wrong? Even if we face persecution, we can accept it with grace and know that we obeyed God’s commandment and hopefully find joy in the persecution.

I try to remember when I will see Jesus face-to-face. I will have to account for my life here on earth. I do not want to tell Jesus I was afraid. I do not want to say that I was more concerned about what men thought of me than God. I want to look at Jesus and say, “I lived for an audience of ONE and was detached from the world and its judgment. I only lived for you, Jesus.”

10 Small Acts of Love

Here are some ways you can bring God’s love to your family and community. When I prayed about what I would do for Lent, God wanted me to focus on The Two Greatest Commandments. I committed to a Holy Hour every morning and I promised to make daily videos on Small Acts of Love on my YouTube Channel. Each act of love has a short video with daily videos until Easter.

  1. God Loves YOU. How do we tell other people that God loves them?
  2. Love Yourself Like God. We cannot love others like we should if we do not love ourselves.
  3. Thank You, God. Thank God, out loud, for those in your life.
  4. Have A Blessed Day. Try this instead of “Have a good day”.
  5. Be Reverent At Mass. Be a true witness of God’s love for you and your love for God.
  6. Can I Pray for You? Ask someone if you can pray for them.
  7. Put Jesus On, Literally. Wear Jesus and be a joyful witness.
  8. Reach Out To Someone. Pray for God to put on your heart someone to contact who needs you.
  9. Share God’s Word. So simple – a verse on an email, on a social media post, at the end of a text.
  10. Saying Grace. At home and in public and some additional suggestions if you already say grace.

Now is the time. It is up to you and me. Let’s be bold. Let’s be disciples and share the love of God with those in our lives and bring His light to the world together. I pray you have a blessed and Holy Lenten Season.

  1. Start by rejecting arguments started by the 1% and then peddled by the 99%, such as rugged individualism. No one is an island. TY
